"What?" Raiden exclaims suddenly, almost making Seki flinch at the hardness in his tone. It's not as if he said it loudly or anything, but something about the absolute disgust or confusion in his voice makes the supreme instantly feel uncomfortable.

Did he say something wrong?

Maybe he shared a little too much and Raiden finally realized what a terrible person he is.

But actually, it's the opposite.

Suddenly, Raiden stands up abruptly and throws his hands out to the side, walking forwards a few steps, as if he's about to address some invisible crowd in the entrance hall.

"That's not fair at all," he exclaims, letting out a dry laugh, "They send a kid in to war and blame him for the whole thing? Bullshit."

Well, Raiden is a man of justice, isn't he?

But the thing is... he's only a man of justice according to his own head and opinions.

Seki let's out a sigh. Whether it's one of relief or frustration, he can't really tell. The weight of everything that's happened still lingers - so even though it seems like the endear is trying to stand up for the supreme, Seki can't even comprehend a scenario where he isn't fully responsible. The trauma hasn't faded, clouding his thoughts so much that trying to understand Raiden's sudden outburst is impossible for him.

"Raiden, you don't understand-" Seki let's out, but is halted as the younger turns towards him.

"No, I don't, so please explain it to me," Raiden says, his voice a little stronger now, "If everyone there died, why didn't you try and explain the situation? You could have said anything, but you decided to say it was all your doing when, in reality, the people who chose to bring a damn kid into war are actually the ones who should be held accountable."

Raiden has quite a different take on the whole situation compared to what Seki has ever heard before - it's almost as if the younger is starting to boil with anger on the behalf of someone he should actually be angry at.

It's confusing.

Seki is about to reply back, but Raiden cuts him off.

"And why is Chikara hiding all of that information? She's making it sound like she's doing you a favor - but I think that those things show more of your innocence than anything."

Seki brings a hand to his forehead, suddenly feeling a strong headache pounding against his skull. It downs upon the elder that he's dealing with a quite young and innocent individual here.

"It doesn't matter Raiden... in the end, I could have brought my comrades back, but I decided not to," he sighs and scrunches his eyes close, "I'm the one who was too weak to deal with the pressure and expectations. A lot of people died that day because I just wanted silence in my head. From a broader perspective, would you really accept a person killing off a whole army of people because he was having a tantrum?"

A tantrum? If anything, Seki had every right to be overly upset in such a situation - at least in Raiden's opinion. Yet, it appears the supreme is subconsciously suppressing what he went through.

And that's pissing Raiden off.

"But that's-" the endear halts himself, tightening his hands into fists as he catches his bottom lip between his teeth to shut himself up.

Seki is clearly trying to let out the deepest and darkest thoughts about himself and his wrong doings, so Raiden should listen respectfully... but honestly, he can do nothing but tsk at it in the moment. It's not that he isn't understanding what Seki is saying - no matter what the outcome would have been, it would probably have ended in a disaster. A tragic situation, really.
