______________
"A barbeque?" Raiden questions as he's sitting in front of his father, sipping on the home-made juice he prepared for the two of them. They have spent the whole weekend together, and now plan to share the rest of the afternoon talking a bit and just enjoying each others' company until Raiden has to return to the mansion.
Haru has listened to Raiden speak all weekend about the whole ordeal he went through back at Seki's, so the younger is actually surprised his father is offering to have him come by again next Friday - with friends even! Surely, he must be tired of all the noise.
"Yes, I thought you could invite your friends over," Haru says with a smile, "It's been a while since we have been in the garden. And since the weather won't be holding up this nicely for much longer, I thought it could be a good idea?"
Raiden nods with a smile. It has indeed been a while since his friends were over here... and he will get to spend time with Haru as well, which he only sees as a bonus. So, how could he possibly turn down such an idea?
"I would love that," Raiden confirms, "I'll text them right away."
He snatches up his phone, now excited to text the guys and hear if they are up for barbeque and beer in the garden. Something they have done before, and it always turns out to be some of the best nights they share. Maybe because beer and Misaki typically equal top tier entertainment.
As he's tapping away, Haru is observing him quietly. The elder is gently picking at the table, considering if asking what he's currently thinking about is a good idea. But if he has truly comprehended anything Raiden told him about his and Seki's conversations these last few days, it might not be completely unreasonable.
"You know," Haru begins, "I thought maybe... you could invite Seki too?"
He has only been with Seki a few times, but he's yet to be with the man in a setting where they aren't in complete chaos or Raiden is literally on his deathbed. The only time Seki even seemed calm in his company was when they put on Raiden's suit before the party at the castle. But since they had to rush out the door, Haru still feels like he hasn't been in the company of a relaxed Seki Masahiro.
It must be about time they have a talk.
And since it seems like the supreme and Raiden are on good terms these days, the younger might actually want to invite Seki to come this time.
Raiden halts his texting for a second, before he lifts his head up.
He did consider if maybe...
"Would that be alright?" Raiden questions, as if Seki is some dangerous token you can't bring along to gatherings. It's not that Raiden doesn't want to bring along the surpreme, but considering how bad he has spoken about him all this time, it's a bit of a switch-up that his friends will most certainly annoy him with.
But Raiden suddenly feels that all the pride and hatred he held on to back then has nearly vanished. He probably thought his mind would never change about Seki but... he feels himself wanting the supreme to be there and share these moments with him.
Yuck. He's getting cavities from his own thoughts.
"Of course. Why wouldn't it be alright?" Haru chuckles slightly, before having a sip from his glass of juice.
"I don't know, it's just..." Raiden doesn't know why he is hesitating. He really shouldn't worry because none of the other's know about Seki and Raiden's... ordeal from the swimming pool, which he so gracefully managed to keep out of the conversations with his father this weekend. So, it's really only Raiden who is struggling to accept bringing Seki along to places where people will recognize them together.
