A:N/ Hey guys this is a new story that I'm writing and I'd really appreciate it if you guys gave it a chance:)

The smell of death is something I will never get used to. No matter how long the stench hangs in the air, the repugnant aroma still manages to make my stomach tighten.
I looked around me, wondering where everyone else was at, where the survivors were hiding?
That is, if there was even any survivors left in this area.
I stared at the city ahead of me, all that was left really were ruins, I don't even think I should call a city anymore.
It's more like a graveyard of rubble, fallen buildings, large craters, and of course, corpses.
Corpses everywhere.
Not many could survive after the...things attacked.
I shuddered trying not to think of them.
The vicious red eyed creatures that soon began to go through us one by one like if we were nothing but insignificant bugs.
And I guess we were, to them, we were nothing but pathetically weak bugs they could easily squish under their powerful grasps.
I still find it unbelievable, how they destroyed human kind so simply, so quickly.
It was them who took away all of my family, killed every single person I loved.
I didn't realize I had begun to shake at the memory, because of them, everyone was dead. Everything I once cared for had been taken away from me.
It was their blood thirst that took away my father first, then my mother followed.
As well as my older sister, my uncles, my grandparents, everyone.
All that was left of my once big family are me, my cousin Roxanne, and her mom.
Us three only.
We were the only ones that managed to survive.
Tears returned to my eyes as I thought of the memory.
The memory of us desperately scrambling into the helicopter, running away from those pale things.
