Recap: "Go!" she yelled.
Suddenly the door behind us was blown up completely!
A scream started out in my lungs but got caught in my throat, I went rigid as I saw what entered.
What else had the strength to blow up a whole door with one single push?
A vampire.
Riley P.O.V
"Why are we coming back here?" Scott whined making me clench my teeth.
"Because, I told you Scott, there might be some humans around! Now stop bitching! Are you thirsty or not?" I snapped angrily.
He shrugged "I guess, I just find it a complete waste of time coming back here. There's no one around Riley" he grumbled.
"Stop bitching!" I snapped again rolling my eyes, why couldn't he be more like Ian? Who never complained, he just went with the flow.
We were all back in Chicago, hoping to find someone to feed on.
"The place is deserted Riley, there are no humans here, they're all gone" Scott mumbled under his breath.
I ignored him and continued walking, I smirked unhappily as I saw all of the dead bodies around, he was right, there was no humans around here.
We had almost extinguished all of them, which sucked, because now I was starting to believe there was more of us than them.
I let out a miserable sigh, this completely sucked! If we ran out of humans to feed on what were we going to do next? Feed from animals? We were already starting to do that and sadly animal blood doesn't satisfy us as much as human blood.
My mouth watered at the thought of human blood.
Ugh, that sweet warm human blood, what I would give right now to sink my fangs into someones neck!
Scott started stomping around, crushing the bodies all around us, he wasn't any happier than I was. We hadn't fed on anything other than animal's blood for weeks now.
It wasn't our intention to finish off all the humans, we tried to actually just suck a little bit of their blood to satisfy our craving, but what we found was that no matter how much blood we sucked, we couldn't stop until eventually we killed the person.
Or if a vampire had the strong enough will to stop it didn't matter, that person wouldn't stay a human filled with precious blood, they would automatically change into vampires.
"Can we go? There's no one here Riley," Scott's annoying voice interrupted my thoughts.
I glared at him "Quit it! We haven't even checked the whole place!" I growled, for all we knew there could be humans hiding in their basements, in their homes!
"We would've known if there was someone here! We would've been able to smell anyone within a mile radius! There's no one around" Scott scowle.
I was about to snap at him when Ian beat me to it, "Let's just check the place out, it's not like we have anything better to do" he shrugged.
"I could be feeding on a deer right now," he mumbled back "Not wasting my time here" he frowned.
"Oh like if you didn't have time for eternity" Ian rolled his eyes.
It was true, the good thing about being a vampire is that we're immortal. Nothing kills us, nothing destoys us, not even death. We don't age, move forwards, we have forever in our hands.
