I pour the dough into the pan while The Weeknd's Party Monster blasts at full volume in my ears. It's been almost two weeks since Atlas and I got back together, and everything has been good. We decided to take things a little slow, to make sure nothing bad happens. We've been talking every day on FaceTime or thru messages. Also, today is Sunday which means it's been a week since mom and Jack left for Boston. If I remember right they are going to be back on Tuesday, so we're going to be alone for two more days.

Mom has been calling Grey and me almost every hour, I don't even know why she is so scared, she left us alone for Christmas and New Year's Eve for two weeks, and she didn't even bother to call us. I swear I can't understand this woman sometimes.

I flip the last pancake and place it down on top of the others. "Grey! Food's ready!" I yell in the house while placing the plates on the counter island.

I stop the music and reach for my Airpods case when I hear Grey coming down the stairs.

"Finally the food is ready!" he says while his eyes glow as he gazes down the pancakes with Ice trailing at his feet.

"I would've finished everything faster if you would've helped me!" I mumble sitting down next to my brother.

"I promise next time I'll help!" he says stuffing pancakes into his mouth and I make a disgusted face when I see him.

"You said that last time too!"

We continue eating not talking too much; we are both tired and sleepy. Last night Ice wasn't feeling too well and we had to stay up and take care of him. While taking a sip from my orange juice I look at Ice who's staying at my feet, he seems fine now. Thank God! I talked with the vet and she said that maybe he ate something in the backyard and we shouldn't be too worried.

I open my mouth to tell Grey something my phone starts blowing up with messages and starts ringing. I pick it up and see that it's Jack. Why is he calling me? Did something happen?

I slide my finger on the answer button. "What happened?" I question without saying anything else.

"You need to go over to Nana's. She called and said that she is not feeling very well." Jack says and I frown in confusion.

"Define not feeling very well?" I say standing up and motioning Grey to do the same.

"She said she has palpitations, you know she has heart problems," he says and I feel like the ground is starting to move.

"Ok, we're on our way!" I inform him and hung up.

"What happened?" Grey asks concerned.

"We need to go to Nana's, she's not feeling well." it's I say before we both run upstairs.

I get out of my closet a pair of dark grey sweatpants and a black blouse. I grab my shoes and go downstairs to put them on. I take the keys from our house and the pair from Nana's in case she can't open the door. While Grey is still upstairs I let Ice out in the garden and grab my phone from where I left it.

"You got everything?" Grey asks.

"My keys, the keys from her house, and my phone," I say while frantically checking my pockets.

Grey grabs his wallet, and the car keys, and jogs to the vehicle to start the engine. With shaky hands, I manage to lock the door and make my way to the car.

I hope we get there in time! Our grandma doesn't live in Ocean View, she has a nice apartment in the city, Norfolk. Usually, there is a thirty minutes drive, but right now thirty minutes can be critical. The last time when she had palpitations like this was when grandpa died and she ended up having a heart attack. The doctors said that if she has another heart attack she could die and if anything happens to Nana I think I will lose my mind.
