Good news; I didn't wake up with a hangover like I thought I was going to. But that was the only good news. I woke up more confused about the night before than I was when it was actually happening. My thoughts kept going back to the boy in the dirt with the bright blue hair. Something about him was familiar, yet I couldn't place what.
I threw my hair up and walked out into the kitchen I hopes that there would be something edible in the fridge. I hadn't gone grocery shopping since my dad left; I was last like that sometimes. I instead opted for some coffee.
As I grabbed the filters, my phone buzzed on the counter. I slid it open to find a text from Czara.
From: Czara; Received: 11:42 am
Hey I'm coming by; I think I forgot my sweater at your place yesterday. Be there soon.
I didn't respond; moments later, she was beating on my door to be let inside. Sometimes she had no patience, I swear.
I opened it and she pushed past me, looking around for her sweater that she had supposedly left somewhere.
She popped her head up from under the table, sweater in hand and rushed back towards the door.
"You aren't going to stay?" I asked, kind of hurt that she was in and out so abruptly.
She stopped dead in her tracks, her eyes wider than usual.
"Czara?" Her head snapped in my direction so fast that I thought her neck night break.
"Uh...I can't..." She murmured, looking at the wall behind me.
"Why?"
"I just...I have somewhere to be. Sorry Nove. I'll talk to you later." And with that, she was out the door.
That was weird. She had been acting weird since the party. First, she left me alone in that giant house while I was drunk, then she was rushing me out like the house was on fire, and now she was just being shady.
Whatever.
I went back into the kitchen and fetched my coffee, only to spill it all down my shirt.
Fuck it; I'm going back to bed.

Czara's POV
I rushed out of November's house as fast as I could to avoid anymore questions about why I couldn't stay. I felt bad about leaving her, but I felt even worse about the reason why I had to leave her.
I pulled into the Starbucks parking lot and exhaled deeply as I turned of the ignition. I really didn't want to go inside, but I knew I had to. It was time to get this over with.
I pushed through the doors and made my way over to the only person who stood out in the crowd of people. The sight of his fluorescent locks drew me to him like a beacon.
I sat down across from him, my stomach knotting.
"Hello, Michael."
