It was raining as we ran from our place under the jungle gym to the shelter of a nearby tree at the edge of the park. She giggled and shrieked hysterically as she ran in small steps towards shelter. This only brought a huge smile to my face as I followed behind her, beer in hand.

She was such a dork.

But she was my dork.

We dropped to the ground beneath the tree, small giggles still escaping from her perfect lips. We sipped on our beers as we listened to the rain come down, stealing glances at each other out of the corner of our eyes. We still flirted with each other like this all the time, even though we had already been together for so long.

It kept the romance alive; and it was just fun to see how bad of a flirt she was.

As the rain came down all around us, I heard her muter something under her breath as she brought the bottle to her lips.

"What?"

She disconnected the bottle from her mouth, looking at me with soft eyes for a moment. Then she turned her attention back to the drops that were plummeting from the dark clouds that lingered above us.

"I said you always reminded me of the rain."

My mouth was extremely dry when I woke up.

This dream felt different, more powerful than the others I'd had recently and I wasn't sure why.

I sat up, rubbing the tears away that were stuck to my cheeks; I had a tendency to cry when I dreamt of her, which was pretty much every night. If I wasn't dreaming of her, then I wasn't dreaming at all.

I trudged out to the kitchen to get myself a glass of water, only to be startled by what I saw.

Czara was standing in my kitchen, Luke's arms were wrapped around her from the back as they giggled into the open refrigerator. What the hell was I even seeing right now?

"Excuse me?" I snapped, my eyebrows raised.

They released each other quickly, jumping apart a bit at the tone of my voice. Luke looked over at me with wide eyes, as if he was surprised to see me up. But he knew that I got up early every morning. I swear, he was being such a dumb fuck lately.

Czara looked down as Luke struggled to find his words, his mouth hanging open as he looked back and forth between Czara and me.

I just stared at him.

"What the hell am I seeing?"

"Um...."

Czara piped in, "Oh...umm...my power was out so Luke invited me over to play video games with him and we just got...hungry..." she glanced over at him as he smirked back at her, his tongue running over his black lip ring.

I shook my head and let out a sigh.

"Can you just pass me a beer, please?" I held out my hand as Luke passed me a Corona.

I turned on my heel and walked out onto the back porch. Whatever was going on between them, I didn't care. Not right now.

I had a sunrise to watch.
