I startled awake the next morning to the sound of an alarm.  I swear to God it sounded like the purge alarm was blaring throughout the entire cabin.

My body rounded off the bed and I tumbled to the floor. When I opened the door to my bedroom, Seth was standing in the hallway blowing into a toy trumpet.

A toy! Trumpet!

"This can't be happening," I murmured, while yawning into my fist.

"Oh! It's happening, my sweet friend!" Seth exclaimed, blowing into the trumpet again. "We're burning daylight folks! Last one out of the house has to cook dinner!"

Emi and Jayden waddled out of their designated bedrooms. The two of them didn't look shocked by the fact that Seth was this awake and alert at this house.

"Who allowed him to bring the trumpet?" Emi asked, glaring at her twin brother.

"Don't look at me," Jayden yawned, raising his hands in surrender. "I didn't search his bag before we drove off."

"You should've," Emi mumbled.

Speaking of which, what time is it?

"Is it even morning yet?" I asked.

"Yes, ma'am. I started blowing the horn at exactly five in the morning! We're burning daylight, so why is no one running to get dressed."

Without speaking, Jayden ran towards Seth and tackled him to the ground. When they both hit the ground, Emi ran over and confiscated the trumpet from Seth's hands.

"Enough with the horn. The sun's not even up yet," Jayden whined.

"I have an intense hatred for the both of you," Seth groaned, feeling Jayden's knee on the side of his stomach. Jayden got up, and helped Seth get to his feet.

After arguing with Seth for another few minutes, everyone went their separate ways to get dressed for the day.

I'm normally not the kind of person that dresses to impress, but I can't help but get excited about dressing up to go snowboarding. Mom and Nonna did a lot of shopping to make sure my new jackets matched my snow pants or they matched my board.

No expense was too much for my mom and Nonna.

Today I got dressed in black snow pants and a stunning teal-colored jacket. The length of this jacket reached just below my ass. To match the teal jacket, I had a white scarf and black gloves.

In order to keep my hair somewhat nice and out of my face, I did two french braids and let them fall along my shoulders.

Red may be my favorite and most worn color, but I really do think that I look fabulous in teal.
