"Letty..." He closed his eyes, a single tear slipping out. "From the moment I saw you I was mesmerized. And I..." He paused. "I..." He drops my hands, finally opening his eyes.

He leans his forehead against mine, both of our emotions ripping away the seams that were once fake smiles. "I can't do this." He whispers quietly, so only I could hear him. I shake my head and begin trembling. "We have to much at stake Andrew." I whisper just as softly.

With a small nod we both stand straight, I could see the confusion on the crowds face. But I honestly didn't give a rats ass. I look back at Andrew and give him a wobbly smile. He smiles back at me before looking around once more.

"I'm sorry. I'm not really good with the whole feelings thing." The crowd let's out a small chuckle. He looks at the preacher. "Is there anyway we can just do the standard vows or something?" He whispered quietly to the preacher who gave a slight nod. This was it our fate was sealed.

And I couldn't fucking breathe.

"I do apologize folks I read the pamphlet wrong, the couple did in fact choose the traditional vows to be read." The crowd let out another quiet chuckle.

"Andrew repeat after me please. With this ring, I thee wed."

"With this ring, I thee wed..."

"And I do promise to love, honor, and cherish you."

"And I do promise to love, ho-honor, and cherish you..." Andrews voice was faltering. I tried to give his hands a comforting squeeze. But I knew that we were both dying inside.

"In good times and bad, for richer or poorer, in sickness and health, until death do us part."

"In go-good times and bad... for richer or poorer, in... in sickness and health, until death do us part."

"Andrew do you take Leticia to be your lawfully wedded wife from this day forward - to have and to hold, in good times and bad, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health; will you love her, honor her, and cherish her for as long as you both shall live?" Andrew looks at me, and for the first time since this whole ordeal started it was Andrew who looked as if he was about to run. I give him a small smile and nod holding my trembling left hand out to him. "I do." His hard voice came out, anger evident in his voice clear as day.

It was almost a growl.

He slips the ring on my finger, the foreign object tingling on my skin as a reminder of the choice I just made.

"Leticia repeat after me please. With this ring, I thee wed."

"With this ring, I thee wed..."

"And I do promise to love, honor, and cherish you."

"And I do promise to love, honor, and cherish you..."

"In good times and bad, for richer or poorer, in sickness and health, until death do us part."

"In good times and bad... for richer or poorer, in sickness and health, until death do us part." I refused to let my voice falter, I kept it strong. Even though repeating those words left a vile taste in my mouth. I keep reminding myself that I was doing this for my family.

"And do you Letty take Andrew to be your lawfully wedded husband from this day forward - to have and to hold, in good times and bad, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health; will you love him, honor him, and cherish him for as long as you both shall live?" It was my turn now. Andrew held up his left hand and I froze. A sudden burst of anger coursing through my veins.

No I don't!

I know Andrew could see the anger on my face plain as day. I'm sure a few wedding goers could see it as well. And from the glare I was receiving from my mother, I knew she could see it as well. But I didn't give a god damn. I was about to give the preacher a piece of my mind when my mother mouthed the word Laci, a burst of memories of my friends and family pop into my head and I falter. I suddenly am brought back to the situation at hand, remembering why I agreed to this in the first place. If I don't do this they could die... They would die. Taking one deep breath I accept my defeat. "I-" I take a deep breath. "I do..."

My head drops and my heart shatters into a million little pieces as I place the ring on Andrews left hand. I couldn't keep my composure anymore, my legs began to give out from underneath me. If it wasn't for Andrew gripping my arms tightly, holding me up I know I would be a mess on the floor. Because it was in that moment that we both just sealed our fate. We officially failed.

"Should anyone present know of any reason that this couple should not be joined in holy matrimony, speak now or forever hold your peace."

Forever hold your peace.

Forever hold your peace.

Forever hold your peace.

Those four words kept ringing in my ears.

No one spoke. But god I wished that somebody would.

Why would they? They were all here to witness the combination of two mafia drug families. I don't know anything about this world. This "Lifestyle" as my mother calls it. But I do know that what we just did was huge. We were now expected to combine forces and create the most powerful drug mafia in the world.

"Well then! By the power vested in me, in the great state of Florida under the unity of god I now pronounce you-" The doors to the hall slammed open. Everyone turned their heads at the loud bang, and for the first time in a long time a true smile hit my face.

I could see the anger on his face from here. Similar anger that moments ago was mirroring my face. But now all I could do was smile. "Oh thank god." I whisper to myself, trying my hardest not to crumble to my knees in relief.

"Stop the god damn wedding!"
