Konro shook his head. "How did you even learn about this class."

"Don't worry about it." Vulcan led the four of you into the large warehouse space. Konro's expression softened when you and Beni walked in behind Vulcan and Mara. You admired what he'd done with the place. Most of the warehouses at the border were crumbling disasters, but he'd sectioned off the part of this historic building that still had intact and massive glass windows. The translucent antique glass glistened with the city lights, but still granted your class privacy. The old wooden warehouse floors had been sanded and polished, cleaned, and now felt smooth to the touch. Two separate spaces of tatami mats occupied opposite ends of the room, each with a futon, pillows, and stunning silk, hemp, and jute ropes lined up neatly upon them. As you looked up at the high ceilings, you noticed a crane hook over one of the tatami sections. You pulled Beni away from that one, and towards the mats Konro stood in front of. He hadn't noticed the hook, but when he did, he gently pushed you towards Konro in agreement. "This place is sweet! You got any drinks?"

Konro took a deep breath before he answered. "Tea. And I hope that's what you meant by drinks. Shibari should be done completely sober."

"Uh. Yeah. I totally meant tea..." He cleared his throat. "Gaku, what are you doing here?" Vulcan asked as he confidently approached the.... let's call them the 'advanced' mats, where Gaku had just jumped up and done a pull up on the crane hook to check it for safety.

He tipped his head toward tonight's lead instructor. "Who do you think taught Konro?"

You snapped your head back to Gaku. "REALLY?"

"You told Vulcan about this, didn't you." Konro accused Gaku.

"So? A paying customer is a paying customer." You blinked a few times at Gaku's words... remembering a comment he made when you two first met about selling his skills... in more ways than one. You shook your head to return your focus to class.

"Konro, I think it's wonderful that you teach this class!" You smiled at him.

His frustrated brow relaxed, and he held out a hand toward you, pulling back with two fingers. "May I?"

Beni crossed his arms as you stepped toward his other lieutenant. "Can't you use Gaku for demonstrations?"

Gaku chuckled. "For how to tie you and Vulcan up, sure." Gaku suspected Beni might be interested in that. "But there's different techniques to accommodate-" He glanced at your chest, failing to hide a slight eyebrow raise. "-well."

"I dunno, Gaku, Beni has real nice titties." Vulcan chimed in as he grabbed one of the bundles of rope. "Shit, these are insanely nice." Vulcan looked at Mara with a wicked grin. "How much are these?" Vulcan asked, as Mara's fingers admired the craftsmanship of the rope in Vulcan's palm, before brushing her fingers down the inside of his wrist.

"Oi. You two. Pay attention. Class is starting." Gaku tipped his head to Konro.

You looked back to your fiancée. Gaku and Vulcan's enjoyment at his expense left him visibly uncomfortable. Konro pulled you in by your belt. "May I?" He asked you tenderly. You nodded and he began slowly unfastening your grenade belt and jacket. Ever since the burn incident, removing your fireproof clothing had become almost ceremonial. This wasn't the first time Konro had asked to remove it. Gaku had removed it. And Beni did so every evening, all as if to say you don't need this now. I've got you. You are safe. His touch was abundantly respectful, and gentle. You were comfortable with him, but you brought your worried eyes up to him, and glanced at Beni. Konro understood. "Gaku, work with Vulcan and Mara over there. See what he knows. Beni, come here."

"Alright, you smug bastard. You talked a big game. What do you actually know?" Gaku took a seat and kicked his feet up. Vulcan rattled off an impressive list of knots and harness designs. "Hmm. Show me." Gaku replied skeptically.
