Unphased by the wails and screams echoing off the cold stone walls, Dr. Giovani arrived at the end of the long dark hallway. "How are we doing on volunteer stock?" His distorted voice asked the guard at the large closed stone door.

"We only have a few dozen left, sir." The nameless white clad replied.

"And our conversion rate?"

"Still less than 10% demon. No Adolla bursts, sir... And nothing like what Benimaru Shinmon managed to- create."

"Pity." He opened the door to the 'storage room', as his companions called it. The old dungeon was overfilled with cages of burning infernals, in pain, tormented, and denied their rest.

The white clad followed the doctor as he stepped inside. "Sir, are you finally going to put them to rest?"

Giovani sounded hauntingly cheerful as he laughed off that merciful offer. "No, no. That would be such a waste of resources. Pitiful as they may be, they can still be of use to us."

"How?"

"Chaos. We have a few hundred infernals to unleash... where do you think we could put them that might cause the most- destruction?"

"Asakusa...?"

"Hm. We have something else planned to distract Benimaru." The doctor looked down at the notification that 2 more pillars had sprung from water. "Isn't that right, Hibachi?"

"Joker?" Konro asked as the rogue stepped into his guardhouse. "Wasn't expecting you this morning. You hungry?"

"No. Where's the old man?"

"Never going to shake that, am I?" Gaku stepped in behind Joker. "I am, Konro."

"You're always hungry." Konro sighed.

Gaku smirked.

"Don't look so excited. I'm about to ruin your appetite." Joker continued.

"Yeah? Why's that? Can it wait 'til after breakfast?" Gaku stepped into the kitchen behind Konro, popping a piece of fruit in his mouth. "Thank you, Mother." He teased.

"Shut up." Konro left the kitchen with his mug of tea. Joker lit a cigarette. "Oi. Not in the guardhouse."

Joker ignored him, and took a needed deep inhale. "Of the over 300 volunteers for trials... 3 are now demons."

"That's not so bad." Gaku stepped out with an overflowing plate of breakfast.

"They've kept all the failed conversions alive."

Gaku froze, mid bite of toast.

"You don't mean..." Konro's expression finally fell in the severity of the news.

"They have over 300 live infernals that they intend to release. Don't know when. Don't know where. But if I were them, I'd drop them off for Oze's military to handle. Wear down his men... Who's Hibachi?"

Konro almost dropped his glass.

"Fuck." Gaku hissed.

You woke up on Benimaru's chest by the hearth fire... To the sound of your new neighbor's voice. "Mornin' sleepy heads." Vulcan invited himself in. "Y/n, I'm taking some of your shit from your workshop."

You waved him off as you curled into Beni and pulled the blanket over your head to hide from the daylight. "Sure. Knock yourself out." You groggily grumbled.

"Oh, and Obi has a request. Iris has been pretty understandably miserable since we got here. Asakusa isn't particularly welcoming to a sister. He thought you could talk to her."
