The rain pummeled the car your father never forgot to remind you wasn't 'yours', he just let you use it to drive your sister around. Your hyperventilating cry had finally calmed a bit, just few tears fell sporadically on your red raw face. The downpour obscured your view of the lanterns of Asakusa's thunder gate from the vacant lot your parked in.

You jumped, bumping your head on the roof. You opened to door. "I'm sorry-" Your voice still cracked. "I'll move along. I'm sor-"

A teenager tilted his head at you. He had the most unusual eyes. "Are you okay, miss?" He asked.

"Benimaru!" A man's voice called from down the street.

He didn't acknowledge it. "...Do you need help?" He asked you again.

"I- um-"

He was patient, waiting for you to speak.

"Benimaru!" Konro finally caught up. "What the hell are you- Oh." Konro noticed your tears immediately. "Are you alright, miss? I'm afraid we're no help with car trouble, but we can get you out of this rain until the morning."

"I'm sorry- I don't want to be any trouble- I can-"

"It's no trouble at all. We're Hikeshi. It's our job to help." He offered warmly to you.

You were going to start weeping again if you spoke, so you just nodded.

"Good, I'll grab Granny, see if she can help with some dry clothes. Take her back to the guardhouse, Beni."

Beni removed his blue jacket, and offered it to you before you stepped out into the rain. You shook your head "You don't have to-" You tried to politely decline, but he pushed it towards you, insisting.

You scurried with him to the guardhouse, and he pinched the fabric of your shirt to pull you back when you almost ran past the door. He held a finger to his lips as he let you inside. "The babies are asleep."

"Babies?" You whispered.

"Konro and I live here with little twin babies. Granny helps us out. Babies are... a lot. And accidentally waking them is a pain in the ass." He sighed.

"No shit-" You stopped not wanting to sound impolite, but he shot an amused half smile back at your unladylike speech. "You're too young for all that. How old are you?"

"How old are you?" He asked back.

"16." You replied.

"14."

"Oh my dear, lets get you out of those wet clothes." Granny led you up the stairs quietly as to not wake the twins.

"We'll make you some tea." Konro said softly. "Have you had dinner, miss?"

"I-" It was hard to get a word in around here.

"Make her some food, Konro." Granny ordered. "He's a great cook." She assured you.

When you returned downstairs, the table was set, and a warm cup of tea waited for you at the space next to Benimaru. The men were both completely dry, which you assumed was a perk of their pyrokinesis. You took a sip, and felt your body relax with the warmth of the brew. "This is delicious. Thank you."

"Konro loves his tea." Beni took a sip from his own cup in a much more casual posture than you were trying to maintain. "Who are you and why were you sitting in a car alone outside of Asakusa?"

"Waka, she doesn't have to tell us that if she doesn't want to." Konro reprimanded from the kitchen.

"I think that's the least I can do when you've all been so kind to me. My name is-" You paused. "L/n Y/n."
