THIS IS WHAT true royalty looks like.

As soon as we landed, almost a whole city of bodyguards was lined up. Media were flocking over us and kept calling our names nonstop just for a glance or a quick word.

Legend held my hand the whole time as Noelle tried to clear the people who were blocking our way together with our personal servants.

The bodyguards weren't enough to stop the people, especially those who were crazy for His Royal Highness, Legend Thaddeus.

I inwardly grimaced when I even saw a woman blatantly wearing a 'Fuck me, My Prince' shirt as she waves her panties.

"Ew," Aileen snorted beside me.

"Akala ko ba . . ."

"Sorry to say this, Lise, pero may ganyan din dito," naiiling na sambit niya.

I drew out a breath as we enter the car designated for us. Nginitian ko ang nagbukas sa akin ng pinto bago ako sumakay. Noelle was behind me, behind her was Aileen, and behind Aileen was Legend guiding her as she enters the car.

My smile slowly fell as I look at his hand holding the side of her arm. Not to be too overly dramatic, hindi ba dapat ako ang inaalalayan niya ng ganoon? Ako ang asawa niya. Mauuna rin dapat kaming dalawa rito sa loob ng sasakyan kaysa sa mga servant. That's a basic rule the royal etiquette teacher told me.

"Ang daming tao! Miss na miss lang?" inis na wika ni Aileen.

Nagkibit-balikat si Noelle. "His Highness was gone too long. Half a year, I must say."

"Kahit na. Para namang hindi sila sanay makita si Legend, e, dito 'yan lumaki?" Nakangiwing tugon niya sa sinabi ni Noelle.

"Stop with your mouth again, Ai. Someone might hear you," medyo pasinghal na balik sa kanya ni Noelle.

Ngumuso si Aileen. "Totoo rin naman kasi. And did you even see what those girls are wearing? They are at the airport! For the arrival of their crowned prince with his crowned princess! His wife! That's too much disrespect for the future empress."

"We know, Aileen. That's why the empire is already dealing with them. You don't have to stress yourself out too much about it."

The car went silent as we drove to the empire after that. I wanted to laugh at myself. Why did I think like that earlier? Wala naman akong pakialam dati kung gaano ka-close si Legend at Aileen. I'm fine with it, even. Hindi naman namin gusto ang isa't isa ni Legend.

But what was that dark feeling surrounding me? It feels like I wanted to pound on something, my heart feels twisted, and my stomach is burning.

May mali talaga sa akin. Kakaiba 'yung nararamdaman ko nitong mga nakaraang araw pa.

Iniwas ko ang tingin ko lalo na noong kinalabit ni Aileen si Legend. May ipinakita ito mula sa cellphone niya at saka sila nagtawanan.

I was appreciating the view the whole ride. Hindi ko inakala na sobrang ganda ng Wraigrecan. And because they have the most advanced technology in the world, all their cars consume electricity rather than fuel.

It's a bit fascinating, to be honest. Mas sanay kasi akong nakakakita ng mga sasakyan na humihinto para pumunta sa isang gasoline station kaysa sa mga sasakyan na humihinto para ilabas 'yung charger ng sasakyan nila at ikabit ang mga 'yon sa mga charging port sa bawat kanto ng lugar.
