I WAS JUST being in denial.

Thinking that I will love Legend sounds like a joke to me, I finally admit that I am feeling this way because I am jealous.

Yes. I am now acknowledging my love for Legend.

He was the first one to care for me despite my boorish attitude toward him. Even though we started on the wrong foot, he never held a grudge against me and forgave me. His constant care for me defined something else for me.

Maybe because it's the first time someone paid that much attention to me apart from the Sy's.

And even before I knew who he truly is, he captured my attention and heart already. At the pool. The night before our wedding.

Pero ang pinaka-ipinagtataka ko lang ngayon, ang mga weird coincidences na hinuhulaan ko na mangyayari at nangyayari nga.

It's confusing the hell out of me. Biglang lalabas ang isang eksena sa utak ko at tatawanan ko 'yon na mangyayari nga. Ngunit pagkatapos ng ilang segundo lamang ay mangyayari nga ang nasa utak ko.

And the fact that I am in love with Legend feels so natural for me already is scaring me so much.

Hawak-hawak ko ang black notebook na binili kahapon. Nakaipit doon ang isang ballpen. Umupo ako sa garden at dumating ang isa sa mga katulong na bitbit ang sandwich na nirequest ko.

"Thank you," sabi ko sa kanya at umalis na siya.

Binuksan ko ang notebook. Nahinto pala ako doon sa nalaman na ni Eloise na kukunin siya ni Nathan at dadalhin sa bahay niya.

Sinimulan kong isulat ang buhay ni Eloise. Ano nga ulit ang susunod matapos siyang ipakilala sa lahat? Ah, 'yung sinabi na ang tungkol sa kasal nila ni Legend.

"You're here."

Tumingala ako at nakita si Legend sa harap ko. Nakasuot siya ng training clothes niya. Rugged shirt, tucked in his knee-length fitted shorts. Napaiwas ako ng tingin ng dumako ang mata ko sa gitna niya at tumikhim.

Madungis ang mukha niya dahil maputik sa training grounds. Magulo rin ang buhok at basang-basa sa pawis. Tumutulo ang pawis niya mula sa noo niya at naglandas iyon sa adam's apple niya. Napalunok ako nang mapalunok din siya.

"Sorry for my disgusting appearance," he added.

I wanted to correct him. He isn't disgusting. In fact, his look right now made him even more attractive. It seems like even if he would work in a dirty and messy environment, his looks could still stand out.

"Are you . . . training?"

Stupid. Why are you asking the obvious?

"Not really. I just wanted to try and wield my sword again. It's been almost a year since I stopped doing so. And a junior knight from my squad wanted to have a duel with me," he explained.

"And you did—"

I stiffened and it was like my whole being is being lit up when he suddenly lifted his shirt and wiped the sweat on his face using it.

"Yes," aniya matapos gawin 'yon.

Napainom ako sa juice na kasama ng sandwich pero sunod-sunod na napaubo nang sumabit sa lalamunan ko ang pulp mula doon. Hindi ko man lang namalayan na may pulp bits pala 'tong iniinom ko.

Gusto ko sanang lumayo nang mabilis niya akong dinaluhan at hinimas ang likod ko habang nakatayo siya sa harap ko.

Tiningala ko siya at agad akong nailang sa pwesto namin kaya tumagilid ako. Nag-kunwari akong tapos na sa kung anoman ang ginagawa ko. Sinara ko ang notebook at itinabi ang ballpen.
