The ground began to rumble beneath our feet as we ran through the halls of the Yiga Clan's hideout, and we could hear the cries of Vah Naboris getting closer. Which meant the army would be arriving directly behind it.
Ellet's hand was tightly wrapped around mine as he pulled me alongside him and my father, and they both led the way we would go to find Ellet. But then my father's ears perked up.
"Kids!" My father stopped us in the middle of the hallway and quickly pulled us into a room to our right, slamming the door closed once we were in. Ellet and I stood off to the side while he stood at the door, leaning his ear in close to it. "Shh."
"So you failed?" We heard Sammy's voice come from down the hall, and we all exchanged looks, realizing we had been so worried about running into Sooga and Esther that we forgot about her. "Now what am I supposed to do?"
"I'm going to search for the princess and king, I promise. I just need a little more time, I was caught off guard and-"
"I don't want to hear your excuses. You knew what your job was and you failed to complete it." We heard metal scraping, and we all held our breaths. "Your job now is to make sure our captives remain secured in the North Wing."
"So Ulia was lying about the East Wing prison," My father whispered, keeping his ear still against the door. "I'm not surprised."
"Samantha, please, I-"
"That's an order." She hissed, and Ulia finally shut up. At least someone could make her go quiet. "I'm going to go handle this myself. The queen's army has already breached Karusa Valley and it won't be long before they enter the hideout."
"What are you going to do once they arrive?"
"Well, I'm going to search for the queen and hopefully find her before she enters. Then it's the easy matter of taking her life." Sammy chuckled, and my father and I quietly gasped. "I'll blend myself into her crowd until I can reach her. Shouldn't be too hard, I've fooled others before."
"We have to get out there and warn Zelda." My father said quietly, and we agreed. "I might just have a plan."
"Go now to the North Wing. For all we know, they could already be there." Sammy began walking down the hallway towards us, and Ulia headed off in the opposite direction. We all held our breaths as she got closer to our door, and she stopped just outside of it.
The moment felt like the longest of my life as she lingered there, unmoving as she took in a deep breath. She released it in a short exhale and then continued marching down the hall, and we all waited until she was out of hearing range to breathe again.
"So what's the plan?" Ellet and I looked to my father, and he pulled us to the center of the room and listened for anyone else to come before laying it out to us.

"Alright, remember, Sandy, our first course of action is to find Azu, Ellet, and the king and princess." Paya explained to the Sheikah captain walking alongside her, eyes set ahead on the hideout's entrance. "It's difficult to know if they're split up or not."
"We'll be able to find them. With an army this large, and such a great leader, there should be no trouble!" Sandy gestured to the queen leading the army, and Paya's confident smile faded into a more longing frown. Sandy took notice of this. "Is something the matter?"
"She hates this," Paya said, watching her friend stride ahead with dwindling courage. "I hate this." She sighed as her hands squeezed the slate held in them just a bit tighter, her gaze now focused on Zelda. "This is the exact thing we didn't want to happen. War. Especially with the Yiga Clan."
