It was a cold afternoon, Ayato and Thoma huddled close. Ayato leaned against the other, the blonde snuggled in the coat he wore.

"Are you warm, love?" Ayato asked.

"Yes, my lord." Thoma responded. It was nice to be against something so warm, he thought.

They were outside the estate looking beyond the view, over the fence.

"I still feel like I'm forgetting something.. Then again, it could just be my mind playing tricks on me." Thoma muttered to himself.

Ayato further cradled the blonde. "If you do forget something, you can always ask the other retainers for help."

"..I usually don't need help." Thoma said.

Ayato only responded with a small hum. The blonde felt his warm breath on his ear. "..."

"Ayato-Sama, do you still have other work to do?"

"It can wait. As of right now, I will stay with you here. I do not want this moment to be ruined by my duties."

Thoma turned to face him. "I'm not sure if it's okay for you to just push back your work, my lord."

"You're so brood." Ayato gently brought a hand up to hold Thoma's chin, making a strong eye contact.

He then softly kissed the blonde with affection. His lips were soft. They were cold.

"All right, then. If you're so concerned, I guess I shall go inside and work on it." Ayato had a smile on his face. He released his arms from Thoma.

"Oh, you're going to leave now?" Thoma asked.

"Why do you ask?"

"E-Ehm.." Thoma had a soft blush that appeared on his face.

Ayato only chuckled. "Do you want me to stay longer? How cute of you."

"Ayato-Sama.."

The bluenette kissed his forehead. "Come with me then." He held the blonde's hand in his as they walked into the home.

"Nii-Sama! Are you done with your date?" Ayaka called, her voice silencing a bit when she gets view of the two.

"It wasn't really a date, but yes." Ayato sighed.

"Yoimiya-San was coming over for a project she was working on." Ayaka said.

"Thoma and I will be in my room. Just knock on the door if you need anything." Said her brother.

Eh? Thoma questioned that. The way he said it was suspicious. It didn't sound good.

The two went the room and closed the door. For whatever reason, Ayato locked it.

"Ayato-Sama, is there.. something wrong? You're acting as if I wronged you." Thoma was concerned for his sudden behavior.

"It's nothing, dear. Even if it was something, I wouldn't be mad at you." Ayato caressed his cheek.

"Why?"

"Mostly because it isn't something to blame you for."

"But- It still feels like there's so much I am to blame."

"Is this really the time to degrade yourself?" Ayato lost that smile he had.

"I'm sorry." Thoma sincerely apologized.
