(The chapter has nothing to do with the title, don't get nervous 😂 Also I got Lyney first thing, I'm glad Lynette is free)
-Romance
-This is my first time writing a wedding, so I tried to make it sound as elegant as I can, did I do good? 😀
'Dear Kaeya,
How have you been doing? I hope you've been doing well. I have something important to tell you and Diluc. It's hard to express over a letter, I'm sorry. Ayato had proposed to me, and we're going to get married in a little over a month. Although I'm not so sure how it's going to go.. You have more experience over romance so I was hoping you could give me some advice on how I should prepare. I'm such a beginner, and am in need to know this stuff. Thank you, Kae!
-Thoma'
Thoma was sitting on his bed, twiddling his thumbs together impatiently. It had about a couple of days since he had sent that letter. And yet he hadn't gotten a response.
..Maybe he's just really busy? He probably didn't get my letter. It could have been lost. Thoma stared at the bedside table where he writes his letters.
Kaeya.. are you okay?
During the same duration, Thoma heard somebody knock on his door. He stood up, and walked over. When he opened the door, he saw his beloved Ayato, and he smiled seeing him.
"Love, I've brought you a little something for the special day." Ayato had something white neatly draped over his arm.
"Ah, did you go out and buy an outfit for me?" Thoma questioned. He held the outfit that was handed to him, peering at it.
"You did mention that you didn't have such attire, did you not?" Ayato tilted his head.
"I suppose I did." Thoma had an almost relieved kind of smile. "..It's nice."
Ayato smiled. He'd leave a kiss on Thoma's forehead. "You'll look quite nice when the day comes."
"..Are you.. having a wedding..?"
.
.
."Uhm.." Thoma shied away, having the bride outfit draped over his arm. And no, it's not a dress.
"..I had ought to remember that I informed you not to listen in to private conversations." Ayato said.
"I was just heading to my own room, Nii-Sama." Ayaka stared with round eyes.
"Fear not, you'll have plenty of time to prepare for my wedding with my beloved Thoma." Ayato kindly smiled at her.
"When were you going to tell me?" Ayaka seemed like she was upset for being left out, feeling like a third wheel.
"Perhaps in a few days. You don't need to feel so concerned. We have our options to stay quiet about it." Ayato would then walk past her and headed to his room.
Thoma had shame in his eyes. He looked at the ground, before stepping back and closing the door, rendering him alone in his room. He felt bad that Ayaka was completely avoided during their whole planning for the wedding, but privacy is needed. They can't just tell her everything every chance they get.
The blonde looked at his desk, a shelf neatly stacked with paper and envelopes for sending letters. He was still wondering if Kaeya was going to respond. Maybe he'll respond tomorrow, or.. the day after. But then another thought crossed his mind.
What if he doesn't respond at all..? Thoma was nervous that perhaps something was going on with Kaeya. It could be something big to do with work or duties, or it could be more. But what more could he do? If something bad was happening to Kaeya, it's not like he can appear there in no time. By the time he gets there, all would be done. Thoma would never make it if Kaeya is in trouble. So hopefully if something is happening, Kaeya can handle it himself.
