6"..Dad..?" Thoma said. His eyes broke into tears as he ran over and hugged his father. He had never cried like this ever since his mother passed, he sobbed into Tom's shirt, tears endlessly falling from his eyes.
Tom was surprised that his son found him, but he didn't really show it in his expression. "Thoma, I told you to live a good life in Mondstadt. Why are you here, and how did you find me?"
Thoma sniveled. "I guess.. I-I guess Ayato-San found out.. wh-when we went to Uncle.. *Sniff* Uncle Haru's r-residence." He softly whimpered as he refused to let go of his dad. "Ever since you left, I've- I've anyways been so worried for your safety.. I missed you."
His father just stood there in silence. He lifted a hand and placed it on Thoma's head. He peered up as he saw Ayato approach him. Tom definitely knew who he was. He saw him the day before he went missing.
"Tom, I'm relieved we were able to find you. I'm Kamisato Ayato. It is a pleasure to meet you." Ayato stood respectfully, one hand behind his back as he introduced himself. He hadn't seen Tom in a while, so he was surprised with how tall he was.
Tom is 6'6-6'8, by the way. Ayato was only 6'2, and Thoma is 5'11. It was a big height difference..
"I know who you are, we've met." Tom said in a growling tone. His voice got stern when he started talking to Ayato. It was so different from when he was speaking to Thoma. Even if Ayato was a well respected man, as head of the Kamisato Clan, and as the Yashiro Commissioner, Tom couldn't help but be fierce with him. He's not one to be friendly with newer people, just know that.
Tom put his other hand on Thoma's back in a protective way. "Why did you come looking for me?"
"I got worried when I saw your face on a missing person report. I later found out that you're the father of Thoma, so I did him a favor to find you. I did my best to protect him the entire journey here." Ayato smoothly answers.
Tom looked down at his son. "Thoma, how long have you known him?"
"6.. almost 7 years.." Thoma muttered. He had calmed down from crying, face pressed against Tom's chest as his arms lay tight around him.
"Hm." Tom looked at Ayato, believing that the two were close. "I.. appreciate your efforts."
Ayato put his arms behind his back like a gentleman. "I have some questions for you, Tom. I'd like to speak to you in private, but I'm afraid of leaving Thoma alone."
"Thoma, if you could let me go, I need to talk to Kamisato." Tom said.
"Oh." Thoma let go, shaking his arms out as he sniveled. "Okay.."
"Why don't you look around the room while we talk? Stay where I can see you." Tom went to have a talk with the bluenette.
Thoma nodded. He wiped his nose, as it got a bit runny from him crying.
At some logs, Ayato and Tom sat down.
Ayato took out a couple of papers from his sleeves. "This is your missing person report. I got it when I was going through my documents. And this paper is the warning your wife wrote on that day."
Tom's eyes furrowed hard when he heard his wife mentioned. He was so mad. Obviously not at Ayato for bringing it up, he was just pissed that his wife was poisoned. His veins were visible from all the anger he had.
