36: Captain's Table

Morning.. The day after the night of lovely.. sex..

Thoma was still asleep when Ayato sat on the edge of the bed. He was already dressed in his white uniform. Ayato had some things to do, and wants to be quick to get it done. He left the room and let Thoma sleep longer.

"Good morning, Lord Ayato." Tori greeted him with a small bow as he walked into the main room. "Is there anything you need assistance with?"

"Tori, Thoma is still asleep, as he's been a bit more exhausted recently. If you don't mind, I'd like for you to prepare him some breakfast." Ayato said. "I need to go make a small errand. I shall return later. Be sure to tell Thoma once he awakes."

"Yes, my lord." Tori nodded. She walked into the kitchen.

Ayato sighed quietly. It seems that I too, am exhausted from last night. Perhaps I went a little too hard. He took his time to rest, and soon left the estate.

"..Thoma. Thomaa..." Something cold poked his cheek. "Thoma-San.."

Thoma brought his hands to his mouth. He murmured at the cold feeling, slowly waking up.

"Tori-San made you some soup~" A gentle voice hummed in his ear.

"Mh.. Milady, is that you?" Thoma rolled onto his back, opening his eyes.

"Now you're awake." Ayaka said. "I was a bit worried after seeing you last night."

"What?"

"Nii-Sama claimed that you had waken up late, and fell asleep after making supper. So he carried you into his room." Ayaka had waken up from the noises, seeing Ayato carry Thoma into his room. It seems she believed the lie, and didn't suspect that they had done something else.

Thoma slightly flustered. "I-I fell asleep?"

"The supper was cold, but Nii-Sama enjoyed it nonetheless." Ayaka smiled. "You were working too much, right?"

"Uhm.. I-I guess so." Thoma felt bad for lying, because he's very honest, but his nervous behavior didn't bother Ayaka.

Thoma had some nice breakfast prepared by Tori, who sat with him to give him some company. He had changed his clothes and cleaned himself up. Tori had told him that Ayato had some stuff to do. "I have some errands to do as well."

"Huh? Shouldn't you take the day off?" Tori asked. "My lord seemed like he implied that you take it easy today."

"Oh, he did?" Thoma just remembered that he agreed to take the day off. "Well.. then I'll just go for a walk. It'll be good."

"Hm, very well." Tori said. She pushed her glasses further on her nose.

Tori is like a big sister to Thoma. She's one of the people who are like family to him. He always wondered what having a sibling is like. He's an only child..

The sun was out shining bright. There was a gentle wind. It was a very nice day. A nice warming day, a time perfect for walking around.

Thoma walked down Inazuma City. He was enjoying his time, when he noticed a familiar presence creeping among his senses. He looked over at the wooden platform in front of the statue. There seemed to be an unusual scene going on.
