The rest of the drive was silent.

There were times I wanted open my mouth and say something but the words would not come out.

We finally reached home.

"Thank you for driving me."

"No, thank you." Regina walked over to me and gave me a hug.

I opened the front door, Tia Regina following me. I jumped at the sight of everyone basically standing by the door waiting for me.

Tia Regina walked over to my parents and then they left to speak outside.

"What happened?" Kalum asked.

"A lot."

"Yeah, it seems serious." Kenton chimed in. "When you said you were going over to David's I don't think it would end up like this."

"Did he get worse?" Kalum asked

"You knew?!" I shouted.

"You didn't?!"

"Knew what?" Kenton asked.

"Makes sense, I thought you were acting really bitchy to him, but if you knew nothing then..."

"Knew about what-"

"Kids let's go. We are already running late." Dad popped in.

We all hopped in the car and the car ride was silent, it was so awkward and I don't know why?

I understand that it was a day before Christmas Eve and they wanted to set everything up and make sure our grandparents were settled at our home for the next couple of days, but it wasn't that stressful, there was no for it to be so tense.

I was dying to know exactly what David's mum told them on the phone and what they talked about once I had arrived.

"So no one is really gonna talk?" Kenton said he raised his shoulders.

"Son, what do you want to talk about?" Dad asked.

"I don't know, I feel like everyone is hiding something from me."

"No one's hiding anything from you, just something personal Kendal was helping with, Mrs Marinho was just grateful."

"Personal my ass." Kalum chimed in.

"Language!" Mum said in a threatening tone.

"It's true though, Kendal's pretending to care now when now when it happened 2 months ago."

"As I said I only found out yesterday, it's not my fault. He wasn't speaking to me for nearly 2 months, was I magically supposed to guess that happened? And you wonder why I slapped him? If you were that bothered by my behaviour you would have asked or told me if I knew what happened."

"Well two months have passed, I'm sure he's doing better than ever like he's been updating me."

"Well, he lied to you, probably to protect both of your feelings. He probably doesn't wanna look weak in front of someone that admires him and he was lying to himself."

"Oh." Kalum said in a small voice. He looked a bit sad.

"Again what? I am so out of the loop." Kenton asked.

I sighed.

"Look, do not and I mean it say anything about this to anyone or even talk about it with anyone else."

"I literally know no one in Brazil apart from family and your friends and that's a stretch and I'll be gone in 3 weeks." Kenton shrugged his shoulders.

I sighed.
