Chapter XXXI: I Trust You

*Kendal's POV*

"Actually, I need to get home, I'll talk to you later Thiago." David sped up walked and left.

"What was that about?" Thiago asked.

"I don't know." I watched him as he walked away waiting for him to turn back but he didn't.

Why when I was ready to move on, I left like I was back to square one back to that girl who was new to Brazil again and only had my eyes set on David.

Lost in my thoughts I stood for what felt like an hour until Thiago knocked me back to my senses.

"Kendal?" He had his hand on my shoulder and looked me with concerned eyes.

"Yes?"

"Are you okay? You zoned out for about 5 minutes."

"Really? Sorry the heat just got to me. Come on, let's go! I'll lead the way, I'll giving something good to look at." I winked as I stormed ahead.

As we were walking I was just thinking about how I acted when I saw David, it dawned to me that I wasn't actually doing anything wrong and I was ruining my own happiness, I was really too young to be stressing about these sort of things. So I may as well enjoy the youth I have now. I may sound like a grandma but it was the truth. Then I decided to extend my stay at Thiago's.

I texted Kalum and my parents to tell him I was staying at Raquel's who lived close to Thiago because I didn't feel comfortable walking back home when it was still so late. Yes, I was planning to stay the night! ;)

We made it to his place in no time.

"Soo..." Thiago said as he stood front of his front door.

"Sooo... Aren't you going to let me in?" His eyes popped out his head.

"What do you mean?"

"Do you think I followed you all the way here just to drop you off, it's so late. I've already texted my parents and they replied, they said it was fine. Why do you think I'm holding this bag?" He grinned widely.

"Come on in." He opened the door and made way for me.

"Gladly." I felt my cheeks heating up and I began to feel very flustered and tried to calm myself down."

"Kendal? Are you okay? Your cheeks are red, it's kind of cute actually."

"I'm fine... I'm just thinking about what happened the last I was here haha."

"Oh." His grin grew wider.

"So are you going red because this is a good or bad flashback."

"What do you think?"

"I-"

"Oh, Thiago you're back... with Kendal." Mateo gave a smug smile to Thiago.

"Yeah..." He replied in a small voice.

"How are you? What's are going here it's pretty late" Mateo asked me.

"I'm good. I wish just my friend place and bumped into Thiago on the way home." I gave him a small smile.

"Well it's get to see you in-law, it's been a while I ask of you all the time."

"Oh really, Thiago didn't tell me anything about this."

"Why am I not surprised, I'll leave you to alone."

"Wait why are you still here? Mum and dad are not back?"

"No, so you're stuck with me and Valéria. We'll be in the guest room."

"Okay, bye." As Mateo left I turned to Thiago and smirked.
