Ok wait hi I'm Athena Butcher and you might be confused oh how we ended up in the sticky situation I blame my dad let's start at the beginning...

I was sitting in an apartment by myself since my dad decided this was good idea ever since mom disappeared on us, I sit on my laptop trying to hack into the seven building, "Attie it's Frenchy will you open the door? I lost my key again," I sigh closing my laptop then I go to open the door. "Come in Uncle Frenchy," we go to the kitchen. "Attie?"
"Frenchy," I say back going to make a sandwich, "have you heard from my dad?"
"Not yet."
"So he hasn't fucked anything up yet. Do you want anything?" I ask my uncle and he shakes his head no. "Ok." Then the door knocks again, "who else did you invite over?" I ask him then I open the door. "M.M what are you doing here? Is this an intervention. If it is I will kill you both."
"Why would This be an intervention you don't have a drug or alcohol problem."
"Oh right what's going on?" We sit in my kitchen on the bar. "Where's your father?"
"I don't know he doesn't tell me anything," I say messing with my laptop trying to get his location, "found him."
"You are good how are you not working with him."
"He's trying to protect me," I state then run my wrists. "You wanna get out of here?"
"God yes." We leave my apartment.

We get a coffee shop, "so kiddo how are you?"
"I'm good worried about my dad but fine mostly bored."
"You still hacking," Frenchie asks.
"Yeah I still have that van outside in the alley."
"Nice."
"I almost got into the system of the seven ok maybe we shouldn't be talking about my work in public," everyone looks at us and I roll my eyes.
"Yeah probably a good idea." I look over my shoulder and see my dad. "Fucking knew it."
"Athena? Frenchie, M.M what are you guys doing here?"
"We are here to check on are god daughter not to deal with your bullshit Butcher," Mothers milk says to my dad and I sip my coffee loving the drama. "You can't keep your daughter locked in an apartment she is wonderful and smart. Athena is the best butcher in this fucking family. She is probably a better person then you'll ever be," Frenchie says. I wipe my face feeling tears slow fall down my cheek, "Attie are you ok?" My dad asks me.
"Yeah I love you guys," I say to Frenchie and M.M. You might be confused but Frenchie and Mothers milk are kinda like are other dads even if they have rough relationship with my father. "Attie I will see you later," my dad says then kisses my forehead. "Yeah..." he leaves and I look down at my cup. "You ok Ms. Stubborn?"
"I thought we got rid of that nickname when I turned 18."
"Never Attie."
"I should get going," I say then Frenchie looks at me. "No you don't need to go back to the apartment you need to see the world."
"Thanks guys. Your the best."
"Attie what happened?"
"So you know how I was adopted because they found me off the side street," I say and they both nod so I continue, "I need to figure where I came from. I haven't told dad because he's afraid if I dig I'll disappear like mom did."
"You do what you have to do Athena no matter what," m.m says to me.
"Thank you guys," I smile and get up leaving them both.

I sit in my van typing on my laptop I figured on my search to find where I come from I would start with Vought. I guess you might be wondering why I start with Vought it's because I'm a supe. You might question what my power is it's like earthquakes. I haven't told my dad the only person that knew that was mom and she's gone. I continue typing trying to hack into Vought I get in and find a file, I hear someone outside so I quickly shut my laptop as the door open, "hi." I say to my dad. Oh god I must have been in here for hours.
"Kiddo?"
"I'm coming," I say and we get out the van and into his car.

The next thing I knew dad was driving threw the glass at electronics shop, "Jesus fuck dad."
"You good?" I wipe my forehead, "yeah I'm ok," we get out the car. "You two just ran into translucent with a car!" The man-child screams at us. "We saved your life."
"Hey dipshits he's a supe he's probably not dead! And you will explain later," I state angrily at my father. As Translucent groans then i feel someone punch me, "well isn't it the invisible cunt," dad says and I roll my eyes. "How do we fight an invisible asshole!"
"Translucent doesn't mean invisible,"the dumb man says and I smile then get pushed into a wall giving the asshole a small blast of my power to get him off me. I get up and try to keep Translucent busy then the strange man grabs a wire electrocuting him. "Nice going dumb dumb. I'm Athena."
"Hughie. How do you know Butcher?"
"She my daughter," Dad screams from the car. "Dad pop the boot!" He does and we shove Translucent in the truck.
