Dad, Hughie and i were cleaning up his mess after he vomited on my fiancé, "dad this shit isnt good for you."
"Says the supe." I put my finger on his chest, "keep talking shit to the girl that literally turn you to dust."
"Alright keep your ear on."

"Temporary V," dad says and i roll my eyes, "barley last 24 hours."
"Where'd you even get it?"
"Maeve i bet you and her have been close lately," i say still annoyed.
"One i got on them websites boners for day," dad says i roll my eyes as Hughie gets annoyed oh god there gonna fight i really need new friends. "No no no no none of your smirky shit."
"I only had one dose. All right? Gunpowders dead. We know what we need to know end of."
"Wait wait you-you kille gunpowder with powers? You...you had superpowers?"
"Oh god honey i know that look and that voice this is bad idea this very bad idea!" I scream getting annoyed that none of the men in my life seem to listen to me. "Can we change the subject its over im fine. Athena relax im fine i promise," dad places a hand on my shoulder and i roll my eyes moving slightly,"right."
"Wait wait do the others know?" I roll my eyes as they talk putting in my headphones and typing on my laptop. Trying to tune out those two. Hughie walks over and sits down next to me, pulling out one of my headphones then puts it in one of his ears. "I'm worried about butcher."
"hell be fine i think honestly i dont care anymore can we go home."
"Yeah," he said quietly to me he could something was wrong with me and with my dad but he knows if i wanna talk about it ill talk about it.

"What's the plan today babe?" Hughie ask as i make breakfast.
"Dad has a meeting with little Nina which to nobody's surprise he didnt ask for help, so i have nothing maybe we just relax your arm is broken and im annoyed and angry," he smiles at me
"Wedding stuff?"
"Later maybe after we kill homelander."
"Babe what if this doesn't ever end."
"It'll end," i say placing a hand on his cheek so are eyes are locked, "for Robin, for my mother, and for Annie it'll end Vought will go down i promise."
"Just dont die in the process love."
"I wont," i kiss his forehead, "but your serious about this wedding lets do something small sounds good. Annie texted were need to vought tower."
"Hugh babe i cant they will kill me just go and be careful, i love you."
"I love you too. Call me if you need anything."

I Sat on my computer trying to figure how i got out, and i hear my phone ring, "hey babe."
"So what did Annie say."
"her and homelander are fake dating."
"Oh Shit that sucks, are you?"
"Yeah babe im fine. Annie knows i love you and will always love you. The public knows that Annie and I were never dating its ok everything is under control what are you doing?"
"Do you know anything about how i got out?" I hear Hughie breathing stop,"babe you need to tell me."
"I cant i made a promise."
"Hughie who saved me?"
"A woman we didnt get a name she saved you and said she was your mother." He tells me and is sigh looking at the ground. "Attie you ok?"
"Yeah ill see you at the airport."

Hughie, frenchie, m.m, Kimiko and i were all walking to the private jet, "i need four or five weeks tops. Athenas?" He looks at me, "yeah shes still missing. I'm no good to work Vicky not right now." He smiles at me and hangs up the phone, "happy anniversary."
"This is a great anniversary were going to Russia," i tell him as M.M comes up behind us. "First time flying private kid?"
"First time out of the country."
"Dont look at me M.M you know I've been out of the country."
"Yeah i know Ms. Butcher," I cringe at the nickname. "Right well future Mrs. Campbell we have a problem," m.m tells me.
"I swear if my dad is drunk im gonna kill him." I say as we get on the plane. "I'm not drunk kid but you left this," he throws me a bag. "Dad we've been over this im not wearing this suit I'm not a bloody fucking superhero."
"I know your better and put it on im out of pain killers." I groans and go the bathroom to change.
I walk out and sit across from hughie, "you look good babe."
"Thank you but i hate this thing."

We pull up to a gas station in Russia, and get out of the van, "why do i have to wear this thing?"
"Because your powers are self destructive, kiddo."
"I hate you," i say then i pull dad away from the group, "why the fuck didn't you tell me you were looking into me?"
"Because i didnt want to worry you kid, your still my daughter."
"Dad when did you start looking into that?" I ask in reference to him having a file on me.
"The day Becca died," he looks at the ground and I roll my eyes.
"Oh my god you wanted to use me to kill homelander!"
"No. Ok fine yes i did i saw the fight you had with stromfront and i knew you were holding back youve been holding back your whole life."
