"Hey you ok?" Hughie asks me.
"Yeah," I say and pulls out a headphones. "Spice girls again?"
"Blame my mother."
"You only listen to this when your sad what's wrong?"
"I'm ok babe," I say kissing his cheeks. "You don't need to be strong for me."
"I'm not doing it for you," I say then I look at dad yelling over the phone, "i pretend to be strong for him." I get up. "Dad?" I look at the boys as they pack their bags. "You wanna cut bait and run."
"I'm going to Montreal."
"How are you gonna get your crazy ass girlfriend over the boarder?"
"She has a name Kimko," I get and knock on the door, "Kimko?" She opens it and looks at me I shut the door locking it. "Can I help?" She nods and hands me the comb. "My mom used to help me brush my hair too," I say smiling then I hand her phone she puts the headphones head pushing play on the music. I finish combing her hair, "there we go. I brought extra clothes if you wanna use them," she smiles and nods excitedly. I walk out of the bathroom, "where did dad go?" I ask.
"He left with Hughie. You can probably still catch them."
"Thanks m.m and Kimko is gonna use some of my clothes just let her," I run out of the motel room catching up with Butcher and Hughie.

We pull to the middle of the woods and get out of the car, "William and Athena."
"Aunt Grace I would say long time no see but you like to check up on don't ya," I say then Hughie grabs my hand squeezing it lightly. "What are you looking at out there?" Dad ask as I squeeze hughies hand back.
"Eastern meadowlarks. It's either bird watching or alcoholism."
"So this is Grace?" Hughie whispers me.
"Unfortunately," I whisper back. "This is Hugh Campbell and you know my daughter Athena," Dad says and we immediately let go of eachothers hands. "Athena have you told William yet."
"We both know I never will."
"Tell me what Attie Are keeping secrets."
"It's my second nature dad I get it from you."
"Fair enough."
"We're working with Frenchie and M.M I got the boys back together."
"Grace Mallory. Im the founder of your little club. So let me here it."
"I need your help."
"Sorry, I cant. Im hoping to photograph a snowy owl in the dunes."
"Look I didn't want to come here, I didn't want to drag my daughter into this, but we need your help. And your gonna fucking help."
"Why's that?"
"Because you owe me," dad says to Grace , "because you own me goddammit."
"What are they Talking about?" Hughie asks me.
"I can't say mostly because I don't know the whole fucking story."
"There's something you need to know first William," Grace looks at me then back at my dad, "Athena is a supe."
"My daughter isn't a bloody supe," dad say and I look at the ground, "Attie tell me it's not true."
"I can't lie to you dad."
"Are working with Homelander?"
"Do I look like a bloody idiot I didn't choose to be this way!" I yell then I blast a tree down with a earthquake. "Ok."
"Dad you trust me?"
"Always kid now the aspirin and shit makes sense," he hugs me and I hug him back. "Thank you dad. And Grace go to hell."
"I think you scared Hughie. Hell I'm terrified can you do that to a person?"
"Yes," I say and walk over to Hughie, "scared or horny?"
"A little bit of both."
"Don't be saying that Hugh I'll kill you shes my little girl," dad say then Hughie and I go back to the car. I grab the first aid kit, I roll up my sleeves, "Attie that looks awful we should take you to the hospital," Hughie says with concern looking at my bruised forearms. "Its fine I've had worse just sit here and hold," I say wrapping my wrist with medical wrap. "Athena you sure your ok?"
"Yeah I'll be fine just angry at Grace. She broke my trust and a promise."
"You wanna kill yourself Billy I won't stop you but the others or your daughter!" I hear Grace yell. "You good kiddo?"
"Yeah I Just Aspirin and a bottle of vodka."
"That's my girl," dad gets in the car and we drive off.

I lay in the back as I listen to dad and Hughie talking about the boys getting kidnapped, "dad."
"I'm on it kid." We pull off to the loading zone. I get out open the truck, "how are we gonna get the guys back?" Hughie ask as I replace the license plate on the car. "We're on Are own we got to get to Stillwell before the walls close in," dad says.
"Who gives a fuck about Stillwell? We have to go back for them."
"You don't get it Hughie. We got about a couple of hours before they find us. And that's if we're lucky. Attie."
"On it," I get grabbing Hughies phone, dads phone and mine quaking them all apart into tiny pieces. "Your dad is abandoning the guys."
"Of course he is," I say then I look at dad. "I'm staying with Hughie."
"Kid i need you think about Becca your mom."
"No you don't and i am for once in my life I'm doing what mom would've wanted for me. Dad I'm not abandoning them."
"They left you."
"No they left you," I say.
"Goodbye Hughie, Athena." Dad gets in the car and drives off. I take a deep breath, "sorry about your phone."
"It's fine I have another."

Hughie and I walk into the church sitting behind Annie, "I remember you saying you like to come here and watching the choir rehearse thought we would take a shot."
"You have a lot of balls."
"Just two."
"Don't try to funny right now," I say.
"You must want me to arrest you both."
"Actually, uh Annie... we need your help." Annie gets up and Stroms out then so does Hughie, "I fucking hate church."
"Just listen to me," Hughie says and I sit on the ground, "are you gonna help me?"
"No I think this is going great for you Babe. Good luck," I say as he follows Annie trying to get her to help us. He walks back over to me alone, "I'm guessing it didn't go well babe."
"No I'm sorry this was a stupid idea."
"It wasn't we tried that's all that matters," he grabs my hand, "now can we do it my way."
"You are not walking in there."
"Yeah let's just get caught."
"That's better still bad but not a death wish."

We walk up to the motel, Hughie clicks a thing in his mouth, "god your a dork."
"Yeah I'm aware, you ready?"
"Always dork." We continue walking then we jumped, Hughie just Starts saying what the fuck? As I trying holding in a laugh. Hughie and I get pushed onto the ground, "easy with them man."
"Hello boys," i say pulling the hood off then I look at Hughie, "shall we go."
"Attie did they get Butcher?"
"Dad went after Homelander alone but I have a plan seeing as Hughie and I are Your recuse party."
"Oh god were doomed."
"Rude."
"Not you Attie your great Just Petite." The boys start trying to get the retainer out of his mouth, then I blast the door off, "let's go assholes we have girl to get a guy to stop from his death wish I really can't with guys today," I say in the doorframe then Frenchie gets my handcuffs off. "Your a supe."
"Yeah I can bring this whole place down I'll answer questions later I promise but we have to go." They all nod and grab the gun from the guards that got. We find Kimko then we start getting shoot at, "get down I got this," I say I jump over the wall blast one of the guards guns apart, "Butcher is so gonna kill us." I whistle for the other guards, I continue fighting and blasting the guards, "anytime now Boys." M.m comes out with the girl. "Attie let's go." Suddenly there's a blast of light behind us, "you came Starlight."
"Fuck yeah I did and your a badass Tremors."
"I'm stealing that." We get to the doors then we see A-Train, "sorry Hughie," I push him out. "Just you and me now starlight. Sorry A-train I really wanna do this," I say blast him but he doges then Starlight blast him but he dodges that as well, a-train grabs my shirt and he's sweeting and breathing heavy. He falls to the ground, "shit Annie call an ambulance A-train is having a heart attack," I say starting to compressions. She calls it in, "Athena go I'll take over. You go stop Vought."
"Annie," I say with concern in my voice knowing she wants me to leave.
"Go," she screams taking over as I run out. Hughie look at me, "you ok?"
"We need to go now," I say and we run hand in hand.
"Attie where's your dad?"
"Stillwells he's after Homelander. Because of mom."
"Go," Frenchie and M.M say to me.
"What?"
"Go save your father," I smile handing my jacket to Kimko, "gauntlets are new."
"Yeah I'm embracing my inner dork," I say looking at Hughie. Then down at the gauntlets I push myself off the ground.

I wake up and look around. It looks like to be ranch in the middle of the woods, "morning sunshine, you were got knocked out as soon as I run into you in the middle of sky," I hear Homelander say. "I will start breaking bones if you don't tell me where you took us."
"Kid?" I hear dad from the ground. "Dad."
"You both can thank me for, uh, saving you sometime later, but, for now, time to get up." I help dad up and he gets in front of me, while I glare his ass off. "Come on your gonna love this," we hear a door open and a little 8 year old comes out, "mom!" He says loudly then dad and I see, mom. "Becca?"
"I'm your father. We are a family," Homelander says to the boy.
