Act 1: part 1

We finished shoving translucent in the truck, then the three of us get in the car, "so what now?"
"Call Frenchie," dad says to me ignoring Hughie. "Yeah I got it," i pull my phone out and call Frenchie. "Attie?" Frenchie asks me with a voice of concern. "Will you meet dad and I at the place?"
"What did you two do?"
"I'll explain later. Bye," I hang up and nod at dad to drive to the spot.

We walk inside and I sit in on the counter, "Attie you ok?"
"Frenchie im Fine Go do what You have to do."
"Love you," I flick off Frenchie as he walks away then Hughie comes up. "So is this normal?"
"No this probably a first, coffee?" I ask pouring myself a cup. "No. I have a stomach ache," I look over and he's giving me this look god I wanna kick his ass. "Attie I need your help!" I hear my dad yell and I walk over to him. "He only wants to talk to you."
"So I figure out what he knows while you guys figure out how to end him got it." I walk into the room covered in tinfoil, and I look at Translucent, "dad will you leave us alone?"
"Fine," I turn back to Translucent. "So my friends are figuring out a way to kill you."
"The seven will come for me but if you do figure out how to kill me I want you to take my place on the seven. I know your one of us."
"I don't know what your talking about," I say him ok yes I do know what he's talking about. "Oh please you and I both the truth," he says then my dad comes in with chain saw. "Dad what the fuck?"
"Yeah I'm out," I walk out of the room. "So what do I call you if your dad is Butcher?" Hughie asks me. "Athena is fine."
"Ms. Stubborn is what we call her."
"You call me that and I put you six you under," I say threatening Hughie. "Kinda sexy."
"Don't let her father hear you say that."
"Frenchie shut up!" I look at my phone, "someone have a crush."
"I'm gonna go," I say and leave.

I mess with my suit and sit at the table waiting, "hi I'm Ashley you must be Isla Smith," I stand up and we shake hands, "yep."
"So we wanna offer you the job in are legal department."
"Great cool when I should start?"
"How does tomorrow work?"
"Prefect," I smile everything going according to plan, "you wanna order some drinks?"
"Yes god it's be good to have another woman in that fucking office it's all men."
"Cool." We get a round of shots and do them, "you know your pretty cool Isla."
"Yeah I get it from my dad."
"Can I ask a question?"
"Technically you already did Ashley but yeah sure."
"What's your family like?"
"My mom left and my dad is kind of an asshole. He's protective and has no idea I'm fucking here."
"Yeah I guess that makes. So I'll see you tomorrow," I nod and get up leaving.

I walk back into Frenchie place, "hey kiddo where we're you?" My dad ask.
"Sorry I just needed some air. So you know how you always wanted someone on the inside of Vought specially in the legal department."
"What did you do?"
"I might have gotten a job to figure out what happened to mom. I just need to know if they killed her, I can't go another day without knowing."
"Athena your a bloody genius!" Dad yells at me and I stand there confused as fuck.
"Well a stupid genius but still a genius. If they figure you out you'll die."
"Yeah I know I just need to know what happened. Dad I get why you won't tell me but I still need to know the truth. I can't just sit around and wait for you tell me."
"Kiddo it's ok I trust you."
"Promise?" I smile stinky a pinky out. "Promise dork," he wraps his pinky in mine. "Hey Attie i Need your help," Frenchie yells as my dad leaves, "coming asshole." I walk over to Frenchie and sit down next to him. "So how do we kill a man that's practically indestructible."
"Find his weakness his kryptonite. Have we see him not invisible?"
"No he's hasn't changed back."
"Fuck maybe we could," I grab my laptop, "maybe conspiracies on Reddit have any ideas." Frenchie kisses my forehead and runs off. "Dude what the fuck!" I yell as he leaves. I sit on my laptop trying to figure out how to kill the supe in electronic cell. "Hey Attie," i Look and see Hughie. "What do you want man-child?" I ask him. "Are you ok?"
"Yeah sorry im Little Stressed out."
"You wanna go bowling?" I think about it then smile, "yeah sure that actually sounds fun." I close my laptop then we leave.

We get to the bowling alley, "you know I've never bowled before," I say as we grab are shoes. "Really?"
"Yeah dad kinda hates me."
"We'll I suck at this so this will be fun."
"Hughie!" I look up and see a blonde girl who makes me wanna punch someone. "Right Annie this is..."
"Isla," I say and hughie looks at me like I'm crazy. Annie reminds me of someone but I can't place it right now. "That's an interesting name."
"Yes thank you," I say and we start bowling. "I'm gonna go to the bar do you guys want anything?" Hughie asks us. "Beer," I say and Annie shakes her head no. "So how do you know Hughie?" She ask me. "We meet through my dad. How did you meet him?"
"On a park bench."
"Cool cool so what's your life like?"
"Good Good I got a job on a legal time."
"That's cool i came here for work to and got a job that lets me help people."
"Isla! We need to go," hughie runs in grabs my hand as we run out. "Hughie what's going on?" I ask. "I know how to kill Translucent. He's like a turtle."
"Holy shit Hughie."

Hughie and I get inside, "Frenchie I need a bomb!" I scream walking inside. "Why?" He ask.
"Hes a turtle," Hughie says.
"Attie did you get Petite Hughie high?"
"God I wish he would probably be more bearable," I state.
"Rude Athena." I shrug, "I heard bomb and high what happened?" My dad walks in ask. "Your genius child and petite find a way to kill the supe in the cell."
"Frenchie just build me a bomb."
"Kiddo your not killing a man."
"Oh please dad it won't the be first time," Hughie and Butcher look at me. I look over at Hughie and I smiles. "Where do you we put it?"
"We have to get it inside his body."
"Shove it up it his ass," Frenchie says.
"How do we do that?"
"We could knock him and have my dad shove his hand up there?" I suggest.
"Why do you always suggest me for gross Shit?"
"Cause I can dad," I punch his arm. "Wait what if we got him to sallow it?" Hughie ask. "You two figures this out I'm gonna go talk to uncle Frenchie." I walk over to Frenchie leaving my dad and Hughie to talk, "do you need any help?"
"Will you program this?"
"Fuck yes so much better then talking to my dad and Petite."
"He would be good for you."
"Frenchie I will leave," I state programming the control for the bomb. "What do they think they're talking about?"
"I don't know or care."
"Are you ok?"
"Who are and what did you do my uncle?" He chuckles and I look at a text on my phone.
Hey it's Annie Hughie gave me your number I thought we could hang out?
"Im gonna kill Hughie."
"Ooooo can I help?"
"Later," I text Annie back she was nice yeah sure sounds fun wanna go to the bar?

Yeah that works I smile at the text and get up, "will you call when we want to kill translucent?"
"Yes go on your date?"
"Frenchie it's not a date I'm getting drinks with a friend."
"Whatever you say Athena I saw your face when you looked at those texts." I grab my leather jacket and head to the bar.

I walk into the bar and smile at Annie, "Hey I got you a shot. I didn't know what you liked."
"Thanks this is fine i like shots," I smile and do the shot. "So you and Hughie seem close does he like me?"
"Annie if the only reason you invited me was talk about Hughie I will leave."
"Sorry so what do you like?"
"In terms of sexuality or drinks?"
"Hobbies?"
"Oh well I take kick boxing and I'm a black belt in martial arts."
"That's cool i also do martial arts." We do another round of shots. "Alright alright never have had a one night stand?" Annie ask and I drink, "ohh spill."
"We'll there was this guy I meet on my 21s birthday honestly Hughie reminds me oh my god. Hey barkeep can I Red Bull and vodka," I say trying to forget that I fucked Hughie 9 years ago. I text my dad
Dad will pick up aspirin and ibuprofen?
Yeah kiddo ofc where are you?
The bar I mute my phone and look back up at Annie, grabbing my drink and downing it, "how did you do that?" She asks me.
"Don't ask."
"So I have had fun but I have to go," I wave goodbye and go to pay my tab. "It's been paid."
"Bye who?"
"Her over there," they point in the corner and I see Grace, "and she brought you this." I grab my Glass of whiskey and walk over to Grace. "Grace I'm fine I don't need you checking up on me."
"Have you told Butcher?"
"About my job Vought or that I'm a supe?"
"The second one idiot."
"Did you finally get a husband?"
"No."
"There's your answer," I say downing my drink and leave.

I walk back into the house, "kiddo here's your aspirin," he throws me a bottle. "Thanks dad." I take some aspirin and walk into the room with translucent, "hey Athena."
"Hughie, Translucent."
"You know Athena your hot and sexy. I want you to come in here and I'll get on top of you." Suddenly the bomb goes off and I get covered in the blood of Translucent.
