I wake up and look around, "I fucking hate this boat," I say in the room by myself. I walk upstairs, "did you say it?" I ask my dad. "Yes," he says in a tone. "Dad I like him you can't just hit him when he says anything."
"He punched me back."
"Yeah cause sometimes you sound like an asshole."
"You really need to teach your boy toy to punch."
"Dad I'm gonna kick your ass," I say in a playful tone, and looks at me with concern. "You feeling better?"
"A little," I sit down, he kisses my forehead and walks off to call Mallory. "Hey," Hughie sits down next to me. "Hi," I say and put my head on his shoulder, he wraps an arm around me. "Who is Butcher on the phone with?"
"Mallory."
"So she gonna help us?"
"Yes," I say picking up my phone, "hey Grace."
"Hey kid sorry about the other day I wasn't alone."
"Yeah, I got it. I really have To stop smashing my phones."
"Can you help me?" She asks.
"Yeah of course," I say walking towards the front of the boat. "Find me everything you can on a supe named Liberty."
"I'll do my best," I hang up the phone and go back over to Hughie cuddling into his chest as we watch we movie.

I sit on the bed with my computer with my headphones in listening to Green Day, "kid?" I look up as he motions for my headphones to come out. I take them out and look up. "Kid, whatcha doing?"
"Research for Grace," I say smiling, "that flash dive was a video of Mom. From before she left, she said that no matter what happened to her. You were always going to need me and that I would be the one to save the world. I don't know how much of that I believe."
"Maybe not save the world but you did save my world. Come on," we walk out and into the living room on this fucking boat, "look at what the kid just did," M.M. says then Frenchie kisses Hughie. I walk over to Hughie, "You did it you big pussy."
"I'm not a pussy," he says wrapping his arms around my waist. "Ok Fine tiny dick," I say in a joking tone wrapping my arms around his neck, "I am proud of you Hughie."
"Nice work Hughie," Dad says I put my head in Hughie's shirt done with life. "Really that's all you have to say," m.m says god I wish this boat was bigger there's so much testosterone here. "I'm going back to my room," I say.
"Why?" Hughie asks me concerned.
"Cause the more I hang out with the testosterone three the more likely I will kill someone," I say walking back upstairs.

I sit on the bed replaying the video of Mom, "Athena if your getting this I'm gone I left. I'm so sorry kiddo, just do me one thing and take care of your father. Athena none of this is your fault and it never will be no matter what anyone says you are strong, capable, and powerful. And if anyone says any different you show them whose kid you really are. I love you Attie."
"I l-love you t-too Mom," I shut my laptop and wipe my face, "can I sit?" I look up and see M.M. "Yeah," he walks over and sits down. He doesn't say anything about the video or ask if I'm ok he just hugs me and I hug him back. "It's ok if you wanna let your walls down you don't need to be strong for everyone around here all the time, Thena."
"Thanks, M.M."
"Your welcome Kid."

I stand outside next to Hughie, we start to hear helicopters, "what the fuck?" We hear Frenchie ask. The man on the helicopter says, "this is the NYPD. This boats been reported stolen, and your all under arrest."
"Athena?"
"Yeah I cant hit that it's to far," I yell back at my dad. "I repeat this is the NYPD. This boats been reported stolen and you are all under arrest."
"I thought you said this boat belongs to a friend," Frenchie says. "Wait you have friends," I say in disbelief.
"Gather on deck and get your hands in the air now," the NYPD yells at us.
"Well, a stranger is just a friend you ain't meet yet."
"For fuck sakes dad you can't just steal some dudes boat."
"Don't fuck this up," M.M says.
"I ain't gonna fuck it up," dad says and I roll my eyes. "Voughts almost done That's we're almost home free."
"I said I ain't gonna fuck it up all right."
"Dad?"
"Yeah."
"Don't fuck up."
"Helpful kiddo."
"Yeah I Know," i smile. "Ahoy gents, I'm the captain of my big wet dreams. I'm holding papers signed by the owner, for the lease of this vessel," dad says and I hide my face in Hughie shoulder as he holds me closer to him. "So there must be some kind of misunderstanding."
"Look out!" M.M screams. "I don't have the patience for this. Dad handle the cops I got the supe," I say then I blast Kimikos brother he throws me back. "Athena do not sink this boat."
"Fine," I get up and go to blast Kenji again but Kimiko moves my hand towards the helicopter and it goes down. "Time to go!" Dad yells as Kimiko grabs her brother. "What are you doing we gotta help them?" hughie ask.
"Trust me they're already dead," dad says starting the engine. "You don't know that," Hughie says then looks at me, "we have to try."
"Babe listen to me right now. I hit them they're dead if we don't leave now we're going to prison."
Hughie runs to the back, and I groan. "Hey I wasn't the one who fucked that up." I walk over to Hughie, "you ok?"
"This isn't me."
"Yeah I know I'm sorry babe," he grabs my hand, "if it helps this wasn't how this wasn't supposed to go."
"Why do it?"
"Do what?"
"Help your dad."
"I have to he needs me and if there's a chance I get my family back I'm gonna take it," I kiss his cheek and walk back over to the guys. "Dad where are we going?"
"CIA safe house in Hazlitt."
"Alright I'm gonna go find Hughie," I walk off.

"Thank god I found my second wind. Because it is Athena and I am so sorry about the way I hurt you," I walk up to Hughie and grab his hand squeezing it lightly he then hugs up and looks at me. "How much of that did you hear?"
"Just about how you love me and I'm your second wind even if I am an asshole who keeps causing problems. Hughie im so sorry you don't derseve to be here. What happened to you shouldn't have happened because you are sweet and kind an so fucking hap-" I feel hughies lips on mine he then pulls off. "Sorry you were just talking so much."
"Shut up and kiss me you ass," I crash are lips together again and I can't help but smile causing him to chuckles.

Hughie and I were standing by the railing not talking just enjoying eachother company when we hear a loud bang, "Kid?!" Dad yells at me.
"Don't look at me asshole you said and I quote don't sink the boat!" Hughie chuckles and I lightly smack his chest. We look out and see Dolphin fins, "Athena!"
"On it!" I start blasting the water. "Everyone off the boat now!" I hear dad scream and we go for the tiny motor boat. As Dad drives I continue trying to hit the dolphins with quake blast, "there head for the Strom drain," Frenchie yells. "How you hold up kid?"
"Just drive!" I yell then we see a Whale come out of the water. "Dad drive faster!"
"I'm trying!" I stand up, "Butchers what's are you doing?" Hughie yells, "Butcher!"
As Dad gets closer to the whale I blast Deep with a very powerful blast. The boat hit the whale and I get flown off to the side hitting my head on a rock, I sit up wiping the blood off my head, "fucking diabolical," I hear dad say and I chuckle as he pats my back. He walks over to me, "you good?"
"I'll live concussion probably but I'll live. Where's Hughie?" I ask him. "Hughie!" Dad and I scream then dad climbs back in the whale. A few minutes later he comes out, " Pinocchio Staying put he said something about his second wind." M.M and I look at eachother trying to debate who's was going in the whale, "Babe come out of the fucking whale or I'm climbing in there!"
"Asshole!"
"Yeah I know," I say and M.M pats my back as Hughie climbs out. "Never would've thought of that."
"Yeah I have concussions if I went in the I was gonna throw up," i walk over to Hughie and help him down, "I've got you babe I promise."
"Are you?"
"Don't worry about me right now," I say to him. He walks into the storm drain with Mothers milk and I walk up to the deep as he unconscious, "this is Mother fucking Tremors and you take this message to Vought. You fucked with my team of raging assholes if they do that again I bring your building to the ground," I say breaking a few of fingers then I go into the Strom drain.

I walk up to Hughie in the Strom drain, "hey Petite walk," Frenchie says and I pat his shoulder. "I got this," I pat Hughies shoulder and pull him into a hug and he hugs me back. "It's ok babe it's ok," I say patting his back, he grabs my hand and he starts humming Billy Joel. I sigh squeezing his hand I know he's doing to distract himself he did just see the inside of a whale. I feel so bad he so nice and good, he doesn't deserve any of this. I let go of Hughie's hand and walk up to dad, "dad I can't keep doing this," i say to him.
"Kid i don't understand."
"Dad I can't do this to Hughie after we're done I need your help with something."
"Always, kid."

"Oh come on," I hear Homelander in the distance and turn. "Athena."
"I'm not leaving Hughie to die!" I yell and runs towards Hughie, I stop running and blast Homelander with everything I got. "And Her again?!"
"I did not know," Annie says and I smirk at Homelander. "If you wanna kill me Homelander your gonna have to do it yourself," I say and shoots his laser eyes at me but I use my powers to block the lasers, Homelander goes to punch me, "Oi Cunt!" I hear my dad.
"William what a surprise?"
"Yeah we'll eat this mother fucker," Kenji walks out and I quake punch Homelander in the gut. As he's getting back on his Feet I grab Hughie and go towards dad. "Dad?"
"Go help Kimiko," i nod and push my self out the drain.

I get to the roof and see Stromfront, "hi bitch pick on someone your own size!" I yell and she turns around. "You?"
"Yeah bitch cause I'm Athena Mother fucking Butcher," I blast Stromfront into the building she blasted Kimiko and her brother into. I follow her, "kids go find somewhere safe!" I yell and Stromfront looks at me, "do you think your good guys."
"Im a raging asshole with anger issues," I say quake punching in the floor below us. I walk out into the hallway, "Kimiko!" I yell, "Stromfront will be back any minute we have to go," she comes up and stands over Kenji then Kimiko throws her into I run over the wall blast Stromfront to keep her down, "Run!" I yell Stromfront gets and pushes me out a window.

I sit on the floor next to Kimiko watching the news I look over my shoulder and smile up at Hughie as he puts a hand on my shoulder. I get up and grab laptop starting to research on Liberty.
