I sat at the table with Hughie, he handed me a cup of coffee, "whats going on?" I heard someone ask and Hughie and I turn around seeing my father, "why are you here? dad you should be resting you fucking dickhead." Dad walks over to us as I see place a hand on my so i stay relaxed. "I can't, kiddo i love you and your a great leader and i trust you but Im still helping." "can you go back to being a dick i would rather you be a dick because this being nice thing isnt you im scare," i tell him and Hughie chuckles, "coffee butcher?" he asked my father, "yeah black." My dad sits down next to me, he gives me a sad smile looking at my mothers ring on my left hand from the wedding. "she shouldve been there." "she was dad," i kiss his forehead, "so butcher how's the girlfriend?" Hughie ask places the coffee on the table in front of him, "shes fine i think i havent heard from Erica in a couple of days." I look at my laptop, "she went back to teaching at Godolkin after everything." "yeah...she went back to keep an eye on her students." "yeah she does care for her students." I tell them and Butcher smiles, "so what are we looking into?" he ask me looking over my shoulder, "the universty im sorry i didnt tell you that i went to school there for a little." "yeah its ok i get it after your mom i wouldnt have told me neither. I heard you were doing well." "i had a good teacher." I look at Hughie as he answers the phone, and he looks back at me with concern in his face, "its for you." Hughie says handing me the phone, "hi Annie," i say answering the phone, "what is going on? Annie i need you to slow down i have been up for 3 days trying to find anything on Neumann that we can us against her." "Vought is pushing that the flight 37 video is faked." Annie tells me and i look up at Hughie, "come over its a new apartment Hughie will text you the address."I say hanging up and handing up the phone back to my husband, "how did you two get a new place? I thought you got burnt again." "alias dad aliases and credit card fraud lots of credit card fraud." "yeah she has gotten really good at that." Hughie says kissing me lightly on the lips yet it was still sweet. We hear dad chuckle, "so whats the plan?" dad ask as Annie opens the door as she has been staying with us for a while, "heres the rest of the stuff i could find with the contacts about Godolkin." "so this the plan?" Butcher ask us, "im sorry we don't have any idea on what Neumann is planning or how we can take her down. Dad were planning a game of chess with vought i need to everything about the opent were up against. We need to be at least 2 steps ahead of them." "relasing the flight 37 video was a good idea," Hughie says standing behind me rubbing my back, "so godolkin, you went there?" Annie ask, "for about year Erica was my teacher, before i hacked the CIA and dropped out." "yeah Grace tired to kick her ass for that." I chuckle, "yeah Grace loves me."

As I sit at the desk with Hughie and M.M at are HQ, I was listening to music trying to think, "Athena!" M.M had to yell at me and i took a headphone out, "yeah." "do you know anything about a guy named Sam Riordan." "nothing besides what we have from the Sage Grover Center. M.M why do you think I have the powers i do?" I ask my uncle, "i dont know maybe as Annie she might know why or certain weakness supe have," he tells me as Frenchie walks in and over to, "i read your vought file from vogelbaum. it gave me an idea." I look over at frenchie, "where did you even find my file i thought i set that on fire." "you didnt but in the file Vogelbaum said you ability was-" "Vibration Manipulation yeah i know i live with it," i say back to him. "i want you to try something," frenchie ask me and i look over at Hughie and he looks back at me giving me a smile, i watch him walk over to us handing me my painkillers, "if your test what you can do at least don't be in to much pain," Hughie tells me and I smile up at him, he looks at me smiling at me, "what's wrong?" I ask him, "will you guys give us a mintue?" he ask my uncles and I see them both nod and get up, "whats going on?" i ask him again, "I'm just worried about you," he bends down to me, "baby I'm good with this, this is my destiny." I tell him, "we can find another way. Just don't do anyting that could get you killed," i smile at him and he gives me a soft smile, "i will always have your back, Baby but im not gonna let you do something that will get yourself killed," hughie continues to tell me, I place a hand on his cheek, "i know but were gonna be fine, i promise." He smiles at me and i chuckle at him, then we look at the news, "Golden boy committed suicide," the news says, "the fuck why would Godolkin top student whoses gonna get into vought commit suicide," M.M ask looking at us. "I dont know but lets find out," I say and i nod at M.M to call my dad.

I pace around alone in the office, when my phone rings, i look at the caller id not recongizing the number, i answer the phone, "Athena Butcher," i knew the voice, "ashley what you do you need?" I ask her, "its Ryan," Ashley tells me, "Ashley are you trying to use my brother against me." "no Ryan wants to talk to you." "will homelander be there?" i ask her, "no just you and your brother, if you wanna talk to him i will be taking Ryan to the park tonight around 8," ashley says hanging up and i look at the phone as the call end, I sit on floor, "kiddo," it was my dad looking at me, "go with M.M try to figure out what is going on at Godolkin," I tell him trying to figure out what to do about seeing Ryan, "whats going on. I know this face do you want me to call Hughie?" "please," i say softly, "ok kiddo," he says bending over and kissing my forehead, "you are a great leader and the boys will do anything fot you, just tell us whats going on in that your head of yours." Dad says as i hear a bark from the other side of the door in the office, as Annie walks in and i look over seeing Terror, "Terror!" I yell as he sits next to me, "so this was your dog," Annie ask, "no techinally hes my dads but Terror loves me more," i tease, "no he doesn't," dad yells at me, as terror licks my face, "so the dog is staying here." "yes," i say, "no hes going back to Judy's." "no mine."

I walk into the apartment with Terror and he jumps on the couch, Hughie walks into the living room, "hey baby what's going on? Butcher seemed worried when he called."
"Yeah I don't know what to do?" Hughie sits me down on the couch as Terror curls into us, "what's going on?"
"Ashely called she said Ryan wanted to meet with me at 8 o'clock tonight. I don't know if it's trap or not. Hughie it's my brother i should go see him right."
"No."
"What?"
"It's gonna be a trap, Homelander might be there and try to kill you, I can't-" I place a hand on his cheek, brushing away a tear, "please Attie I can't loss you after everything that's happened to us, please Athena."
"Hughie it's my brother, I made a promise."
"I know baby I know but please don't." I look into his eyes, he was scared as I remember what happened the last time I went on a mission alone, "hughie?"
"If you're gonna go because I know I can't stop you," I chuckle at him, "I'm gonna come with deal?" He ask me, "deal," I tell him, "so what did you find out about Godolkin."
"Nothing it seems like a normal university."
"Fuck."
"I know but you might be able to tell us what it was like there?" I sit back in the couch, "right yeah...umm it was normal I went class kept my head down I wasn't there very long only a year before I dropped out, they would rank students but it was a supe university. Hey you remember that supe orphanage your dumbass went to." "yeah why?" he ask me confused as he pet Terror, then i see Hughie look over his shoulder, "oh my god we gotta go," he says grabbing my hand runninng out of the apartment, "Hughie you wanna loop me in!" i yell as we run out with Terror following us, as we left the apartment bulding i look at the clock it was almost 8, "Im going, darling." "i know baby taht why were leaving, i know i can't stop you but we need to make a stop. first." "god dammit Hughie." 

I walk up to the park around 8pm, i look over at Hughie with a sniper rifle and my dad, "i hate you both," i tell them, "also i hate that you let him take a rifle." "Kiddo he's right were not letting you get taken again," dad tells me, "fine but you both stay here, i told Ashley i was coming alone." "be careful," Dad says to me, and my husband kisses my cheek lightly, "good luck my love you got this." I take a deep breath and walk up to Ryan and Ashley and Ryan hugs me and i quickly wrap my arms around him, i look over at Ashley, "how did you get away from Homelander?" i ask them, "hes busy and will be for about an hour, Athena there is something you should know," Ashley says, "you wanna start talking." "Ive taken over for Stan Edgar, he had this," she hands me a flash drive, "i dont know but this the only copy of the files from Vogelbaum about you," i take the drive and i look at Ryan, i get down to his level, "are you ok?" i ask him and he nods, he wraps his arm around my neck, "i love you sis," he whispers to me, "i love you too bro, just be safe," i whispers back as he lets go of me, slipping me a piece of paper, "you guys should go," i tell them, messing with Ryan's hair, my brother chuckles at me, "go before Homelander figures it out," they both nod, "Athena be careful, Homelander wants you and Hughie very dead." "thanks but i can handle it." Ryan looks up at me and i bend down, "ill be ok, i promise," i tell him putting my hand on his shoulder, he gives me a nod as i get up and walk back over to dad and hughie. Hughie grabbed my hand as the three of us leave.
