Hughie and I were outside still in Moscow, "we need to get the fuck out of Russia."
"Are you mad at me?" I look at Hughie and grab his hands, "no I understand feeling powerless you wanna protect me, Annie, honey all I need is you in my life. We don't know the side effects of this stuff just please promise me you wont use it unless you have to." He smiles squeezing my hands, "I promise babe. Now if you'll excuse me I will be throwing up." I nod and he leaves. I walk back Inside, "the whole fucking point of what we do is because no one should have that kind of power."
"I happened to live on planet fucking earth," I stand their awkwardly as dad walks off. "Im sorry Athena."
"Its fine M.M your right as normal. Its just hard to think about."
"Come on talk to me," I walk over and sit down as he looks at my arms. "I was experiment by Vought my dna is from Swatto and some lab technician. I was made to destroy everything. Dad started looking into it after my fight with Stromfront."
"You don't think?"
"I do Marvin and im scared because if he doesnt find this weapon hell try to use me to kill Homelander and we don't know what that will do to me. Im not a weapon and ive spent years trying to not be the weapon Vought made me but maybe thats my destiny."
"Hey you are great kid. You are human being and with great powers and a lot of bullshit. Change your destiny Destroy it destroyer." I chuckle a little and smile. "I should go check on my idiot."
"Yeah." I get up and go over to Hughie.

I sat on the floor next to my idiot rubbing his back as he threw up, "how do you do this?"
"Babe my powers are permanent ask the bed frame."
"Yeah I know. You dont have to be here."
"Im not going anywhere," I tell him and he leans on me relaxing, "thank you."
"You don't need to thank me Hughie I'll always been here for you."
"You always have been," he says smiling and I smile rubbing his back.
"Athena, Hughie! Time to go!" Dad screams and we both laugh finally fucking leaving Russia.

We land the plane and get off, Marvin, Frenchie and Kimiko leave, "shell be up and about in no time. See you in the morning ya?"
"Fuck you!" Marvin said driving off. Hughie and I stood next to eachother holding hands, "you still have us."
"Fuck you both."
"You love us Attie," dad says.
"Unfortunately," I tell the guys dad leaves. "Apartment?" Hughie ask as we look at the text from Annie on my phone.
"Yeah we should go."

"Babe Will you please turn that off?" I ask as the door opens. "Annie?" I smile at Annie as I throw on a shirt.
"Athena?"
"Yeah im ok. How are you?" I ask as She pulls me into a hug. "I shouldn't be here its not safe for either of you."
"Fuck Homelander," I say and Hughie grabs my hand. "Guys Homelander killed him he fucking murdered him. And its all my fault."
"Hey its not your fault," hughie says standing next to me. "We got almond joys, and some other candies, white claws in the fridge and lavender bath bombs just lets us take care of you," my dumbass fiancé says and I mean hes not wrong Annie does a lot of us and the Boys honestly im surprised shes still here. "Just tell me you found it."
"Moscow was a dead end," hughie says and I grab my laptop as Marvin sent over the solider boy experiment videos to me. "No weapon or gun or anything."
"Just Athena."
"Wait what?"
"Its a long story Annie just sit down and relax, Hughie coffee?" I ask him he smiles and nods. "What killed Soldier Boy?"
"Im gonna get you a white claw."
"Oh my god Babe your an idiot. Annie sit down," she does and hughie leaves us alone, "nothing killed Soldier boy he was alive and in Moscow. We've not sure how he got there but the explosion that killed him was faked."
"Hughies arm is supposed to be broken."
"Right um Butcher has gotten himself temp V it makes a normal person a supe for 24 hours and Hughie being the idiot he is took some." I hand her three white claws, "alright idiot come out!" I scream and he does.  "Alright which part are you most upset by?"
"Im mad at Athena."
"Why? Me."
"Because he could've gotten himself killed."
"Im aware of that Annie and i didnt let him do anything I found out when he became butt naked in front of us all."
"You liked the view."
"Shut up Idiot," i tell him.
"You loved it," Annie says and I glare at him. "I did I really did love it. It was awesome. You both know me im all about family. But in russia i wasnt scared I saved M.M I could like teleport."
"You were butt naked, and dad becomes a more asshole version of himself with Homelanders powers."
"No."
"Yes im fucking annoyed at them both mostly Butcher."
"Are you mad at me or not Darling?!"
"I don't fucking know anymore I thought I was fine with this if it was gonna be one time but you wanna do it again. Hughie it could kill you and I need you!"
"I just wanna save you!"
"You already do!" I scream back at him as we forget Annie was here. "Guys."
"Right sorry. Just Hughie it was."
"Yeah I know youve said it a lot."
"I love you," I tell him, he places a hand on my cheek. "I love you too." He places a kiss on my lips.
