"Mallory wait what address Grace don't me hack me into your computer I will do it," I hang up the phone. "Anything?" Hughie ask.
"Not unless actually," I start to thinking.
"No no no this is your thinking face i hate this face. Why don't you take a break?"
"Hughie it's like you want my dad to kill you."
"He won't he's warmed up to me."
"He's warmed to you being around not you dating his only daughter," M.M says and I smile kissing Hughies cheek. "Kid there calling you a super villain!" M.M yells.
"I prefer the term anti-hero," I say.
"your the fucking boss Ms. stubborn or Madame Stubborn now," Frenchie says and I flick him off. Dad walks back in, "I need to talk to my daughter then we will discuss," I get up and Hughie squeezes my hand.

We sit in a room alone just us but I could tell dad was gonna cry, "She found Becca," I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding we hug eachother for dear life, "hey you go there and you get the fuck out of here."
"I'm not going without you. I'm not leaving them not now anyway. We need to stop the seven and the supe terrorists and," dad hugs me again. "Kid you've had my back for 8 years. I never wanted this for you Athena you can go home and hang out with Becca she hasn't see you in so long. I love you Kid."
"I love you too dad but I'm not going there without."
"Yes you are."
"No I'm not," I state smirking at him as we sit there staring at eachother. "Butchers!" We hear M.m yell. "Get out of there Butchers you both to stubborn for this."
"Fuck," dad says and I smile we get the room.

"So your both gonna Strom an off the grind Vought compound just the two of you. Butchers how is that your dumber then you look?" M.m ask.
"Mate it's Becca," dad grabs my hand, "I'm doing this to get my family back and I'm going alone," he looks at me and I smile back.
"Yeah no shit," m.m says.
"I want her back to Dad you can't cut me out of this you need me."
"If we get her were gone and gonna have to stay gone," dad says and I get up.
"Hughie," he turns around and looks at me, "I have to go. Mallory found my mom."
"You'll come back right?" He asks me and look over at dad as he talks to m.m. "I don't know but Hughie I have to tell you something. Hughie I love you no matter what I will always love you," I grab his shirt crashes are lips together probably for the last time. He pulls off, "I love you too, Athena. You come back to me ok. Promise me you'll come back?"
"Hughie I can't make that promise," I say looking at the floor, I feel Hughie lift my chin up and I look into his big beautiful eyes all I see is the love and support he has for me and idiotic tendencies.
"Kid! You ready?" Dad ask.
"Y-yeah," I say trying to hold in a breakdown I don't wanna leave Hughie but this is my mom. I start to walk over to dad and I as I do I feel something get dropped in my jacket pocket. Dad and I leave with his bag of shit.

As Dad drives, "so this plan of yours kid."
"Dad I have to do this Hughie derseves better then me. He needs someone that makes him happy and doesn't drag him into this shit."
"So someone who like Starlight."
"I don't know maybe. Dad I love him but I can't be the reason he changes who he is."
"I felt the same way when I meant your mom," I smile and put the radio and we didn't start the fire playing. I start humming along, "Athena I'm gonna rip my ears off."
"Reminds you of mom."
"You remind me of her every damm day, kiddo." We pull off to get food, "we can do this right?" I ask stirring my coffee.
"Athena you fought a supe you are the strongest kid I will ever know."
"Dad I am a supe."
"I know but I don't know many or any supes who would take on one of the seven alone for a guy."
"Homelander was going to kill him i didn't have a choice," we get back in the car and continue driving.

Hughies pov:
M.M, Annie and I were all going to North Carolina, I sit there hovering over Athena's contact, "Hughie stop moping and text her," M.M says. "Wait what happened wheres Athena?"
"She's busy being an idiot."
"Her dad and her found a lead that their checking out alone. Hughies worried about his supe, vigilante, hacker girlfriend."
"Call her call her call her," Annie starts chatting.
"Yeah call her man we still have a few hours till we get there."
"It's late I don't wanna wake her." I feel my phone buzz and I smile seeing a message from Athena, hey sorry I knows it's getting late but I can't sleep. I miss you.
I miss you too Attie. I text her back and smile.
"Are her and butcher Alive?" mothers milk ask.
"She's alive wouldn't surprise me if Butcher was dead." Did you find your mom yet?
We're almost there. Dad's brilliant plan is hop the wall and hope.
