I sit on the couch with my computer at Graces place after I got a lecture from dad, "put away that petulant look before you hurt someone with it." I put my headphones back in trying to find anything on Liberty it would help if I had her real name so let's start with Vought history. "Whose the girl?" Neuman ask pointing at me. "Athena Butcher my daughter," dad says and I flick them all off. Grace leans over and takes a headphone out, "got anything?" She whispers.
"I think so but I need to get into the cia database again. You gonna arrest me?"
"Do what you need to do kid."
"Athena?"
"Yeah dad."
"How you feeling?"
"I feel like a rose brush, but I think I have something hard proof."
"How are you related to him?" Neuman ask me. "Adopted," I turn my laptop, "Stromfront aka Liberty same person different years because she was the first to get compound V all the back in world war 2. Her husband Fredrick Vought gave her the serum but I can't find anything else."
"Do you have anything related to sage Grover a why? If we take a shot at the king we can't miss."
"There testing it they wanna make an army of supes I don't know why but if it related to Stromfront it's not good," I say.
"We might know someone who knows the whole picture."
"Great who is it?"
"Like you said we're gonna have to trust eachother," I get up and walk over to Hughie. "I'm glad your ok."
"Your an idiot Babe."
"Yeah I know I love you."
"I love you too," he squeezes my hand and I squeeze it back.

I sit on the counter, "Attie?"
"Dad I'm fine I promise."
"Yeah the last time you said your were fine you got arrested." I get up, "dad I'm coming with."
"Your Not i almost lost you and Hughie the other day not again and stop being me. Just relax kid."
"Asshole."
"And besides you and Hughie are watching Lamplighter."
"Babysitting am I getting paid?"
"What do you want?"
"50 bucks."
"Deal."
"Yes," he hands me 50bucks and I walk over to Hughie. I look out the window, "shit," I walk out of the house, "Dad?"
"Your staying here."
"No because I know that face and that number Connie called."
"Kid."
"Dad I'm coming."
"She doesn't like you."
"She doesn't like me because I'm Bi who the fuck cares! I don't because I don't wanna see her but I promised mom I would protect you."
"Kid I'm protecting you because your my daughter! Now get your ass back in that house with boyfriend."
"Fine but you call if you need anything. Promise," I put my pinky out. "I promise kid," we latch pinky and he kisses it before pulling me into a hug.

I sit at the table with my laptop reading this file called project earthquake, I find a video and I push it, it looked like the labs that Grace said Homelander was at, I push play on the video "this is Dr. Vogelbaum with Test subject AT3 aka Athena. Athena are you ready?" He ask what appears to be 10 year old me. Tiny me nods and blasts the doors off, she kills a bunch of people and runs off, "oh my god," I see the date on the camera it was the same day I meant Becca and Billy starting to think about all the things that could've happened if I didn't escape I would've turned out like fucking Homelander. I feel a hand on my shoulder and I jump, "sorry babe you ok?" I grab Hughies hand and I smile feeling everything I was thinking about leave my head. "Yeah baby I'm ok."
"What is This?" He ask grabbing my laptop, "oh my god is that you."
"Yeah..."
"Are you sure your ok?"
"I don't think so I think I'd much rather watch a porno right now."
"Ok," he grabs my hand and we go back to the living room. As Hughie, lamplighter, and i sit on the couch the guys are talking while i listen to music, I lay down with my head on Hughie lap I feel his hand start to play with hair, "Hughie?"
"Yeah."
"You ok?"
"Yeah I'm great babe," he leans down and kisses my lips and I kiss him back. I feel his hand go up my shirt as we kiss, "ummm hello guys!" We pull off and look over at Lamplighter. "Sup," I say smiling. "You two are cute," he says and Hughie puts his face in my neck. "Babe if you leave a hickie my dad will kill you."
"Yeah yeah," I push Hughie off and on to the floor. "Ow."
"Your Fine get up." I hear my phone ring and I grab it walking away from them.

I sit on the counter on the phone with Grace, "ok let me get this straight you want me to testify in court because I'm a supe."
"Attie I want no I need you to testify because I need you by my side. You've been dealing with Vought your whole life you are a victim of a Vought. Athena they made you-"
"Project Earthquake."
"What?"
"They said I could destroy a city."
"Yeah you can," I grab the joint and light it, "yeah I'll do it fuck Vought."
"Fuck Vought," i hang the phone.
"Athena!" Hughie yells. "Babe what's wrong?"
"Annies been caught and I can't get a hold of your dad!"
"Yeah your not gonna get a hold of him not right now away," I walk over to them and look at the news. "I can distract them while you guys get to 42d."
"Into the tower you'll die."
"Wouldn't be the first time but Annie knew the cost of this and did it anyway I'm not leaving her there to die."
"That's my girl and call your dad."
"If he's not picking up for you, he won't pick up for me."
