CHAPTER 1 FAMILY

Daniels POV: I hit the ground hard as I'm tossed out in the cold evening weather and I looked behind me to see and narrowly dodge a suitcase flying at my head,

"Get lost omega! We do not need a pathetic person like you in our family! And take these little brats with you!"
My birth giver aka my mother yells at me as my two little brothers are tossed on the floor, I get up and go to check on them, "Are you two ok?!" I asked as I was looking at them.

"We're ok" They say kind of shakily, let me tell you how this came to be, my family has always hated weakness, they believe that supernatural beings should be at the top, but thankfully the gods decreed centuries ago that the humans are not to be touched by the supernaturals, so humanity rules the world and the supernatural is believed to be nothing more than myth,

But back to what brought this about, when my family discovered that I was an omega they were disgusted with me, I was 12 years old when I shifted but I was alone, I saw my dragon form and realized something was off, I realized I was a hybrid,

An ice and water dragon which was not bad but I saw something that shouldn't have been there, when I shot out ice it wasn't just ice it was a crystal, I did some homework and realized I was a gem dragon as well.

But I wanted to be 100 percent sure so I studied and I confirmed it, I was a gem dragon, saphire from the look of it,

Amongst dragons there are four rarities, celestial, Holy, time, and the most rare one of all is the gem dragon, gem dragons are incredibly rare as well as the most powerful of dragons, the reason is because they are the only type of dragon that can absorb any other dragons element attack and once that happens they're able to use that dragons elemental abilities.

For example, if I was attacked by a lightning dragon, I could absorb the lightning power he throws at me and then I would be able to use not only my own element and gem power but I could use a lightning dragons power as well, not only that but once I absorb the power no lightning dragon could harm me because there attacks would be like attacking another lightning dragon, which is ineffective, in other words I'd be immune like all other lightning dragons.

Even amongst gem dragons saphire dragons are said to be only a myth, mainly because there has only been one in the entire history of the dragon race.

The last gem dragon died twenty years ago , and that dragon was my grandmother, she had reached her final phase, she decided to have a family before her final phase was done so she had my dad, fifty something years ago and the fact she was almost eight hundred thousand but just chose now to have a family was very odd to most people, you might be a little confused about the time gap so I'll explain,

We dragons go through an aging process just like humans but for us it's different, because when we reach one hundred our bodies will revert back to a certain age, either 16-24 that's our biggest flex, but we only live for up to eight hundred thousand years, then our bodies die as the element we come from and our souls are brought to the dragon God along with our dragon spirits to live in the astral dragon plane.

Besides that dragons can't die unless they're killed by another dragon, our bodies are too hard for any other supernatural beings to penetrate, besides a dragon.

But back to what's happening, when I first found out I was a gem dragon I was too scared to let anyone know what I was so I kept my form hidden, I never shifted in front of anyone, not even my older siblings.

My parents found out that I was an omega because when they returned from their trip which is where they were when I went through my first change, they instantly asked me where that sweet smell was coming from.

I realized then what they were talking about, omega supernaturals of any race are always born male and submissive, so because of that we're always paired with dominant males, and there are two ways to tell if someone is an omega, if they have glowing blue eyes and if they have a natural sweet smell, like honeysuckle and morning dew coming from them when they go through their first change.
