CHAPTER 15 CONDITIONS PART 1

Roderick POV

How dare that ungrateful little brat do this to my family?! I practically handed my first born son to him on a silver platter and he has the audacity to claim that pathetic omega as the fourth empress?! He has another thing coming if he thinks I'll let this go,

And now that I know who my father is and more importantly who my other family is I think it's time to have a little chat with my little brother.

Daniels POV

Me and the kids are currently watching the royal guards move all of our stuff to the fourth empress palace, we wanted to stay but thanks to my father bribing a judge he now has ownership of the house, which was bought by humans so we had to go through the human legal system, and thankfully the council stepped in when he tried to take the children,

But now that we're homeless I literally have no choice but to live in the palace, originally my plan was to have the clan leaders who became my household members live there so they could be safe and protected and I could try to have a normal life with the kids but that's been shot down, so I guess I have to accept my role as the fourth empress and even more annoying is the fact that Darren wants me to not only have guards at my place but also he wants me to pick a title for myself since every empress in the past and present must choose a title.

As the last of our stuff is being loaded up I catch the heated glare of the guards, their angry because not only have they been exposed but the women they were cheating with are now their mates and these women are the same ranks as them so they can't boss them around, plus Darren has put them all on notice, one more screw up and they lose their positions and will have to get other forms of employment, and since all dragons now know what they've done they'll have to get jobs in the human community since no dragon would want to hire them.

It takes us an hour to get to the palace and every palace has a barrier around it for protection, Darren made this one, it's strong but way too clumsy for my taste, I get out of the car and go up to the barrier, which is behind the gate, I put my hands on it and I focus my magic to destroy the barrier from the inside out, which is normally impossible because each barrier is unique and you have to match the wavelength of the correct amount of magic to even make a tiny dent in it,

But for me it's always been easy for me to overwrite someone's magic, even when I was little, and I know what you're thinking and it's not a gem dragon thing it's just something I can do, but anyway once I add the correct amount of magic to the spell I'm casting it immediately starts breaking the barrier, and pretty soon the barrier is destroyed, then once it's destroyed I immediately create one of my own, but this one will be more elegant and sophisticated, Darren's barrier was just all brute strength, burning anyone viewed as a threat that comes near it, my barrier will become stronger the more times it's attacked and it will keep changing it's magical composition so no one can interpret it's wavelength and instead of flames it'll simply immobilize anyone who tries to mess with it.

I smile as my barrier is now complete, and when I turn around I'm met with the shocked faces of the guards and the kids.

"What?" I ask, "Pardon me fourth empress but what did you just do? We saw you destroy the emperor's barrier which should have been impossible and then you made your own barrier with just a snap of your fingers, creating a barrier this large takes at least an hour for a normal dragon and it took the emperor twenty minutes to make his, but you made yours in barely a second, is it because you're a gem dragon?" He asked cautiously while looking at the barrier, "No it's not a gem dragon thing I've just always been good at magic, barrier's especially." I told them and then I explained how I got rid of Darren's barrier and created my own and what the barrier does, after I finished explaining it they all looked at me fearfully.

I guess it is a bit of a surprise for them, the kids said I was amazing and wonderful, I smiled and thanked them, then we got back in the car and continued to the palace, then the guards put all our luggage and left, our rooms already had brand new furniture in them, a gift from Darren, plus my household members all had their own rooms and furniture also, they decided to hide while the guards were here which I would have done the same in all honesty, but just when I was about to sit down and relax I hear a knock on the door, I open it and it's Ryan Asear, I smiled at him and he smiles at me.

"Ryan what can I do for you?" I asked, "Forgive the intrusion your majesty but the emperor is downstairs in the living room and he wants to talk to you." I frown, Darren's here? Why? I thank him and go down the stairs to the living room and once he sees me he gets up and honestly he doesn't look happy.

Darren POV

I'm filling out some paperwork in my office and just then I feel it the barrier I made over Daniels place being destroyed, I immediately call the guards I sent to help him move in, "What happened?! I felt the barrier being destroyed! Is it an attack?!" I ask "No your majesty it's actually the fourth empress, he did something and you're not going to believe it." The guard then told me about what happened, and to say I was shocked was a giant understatement,

So not only can Daniel interfere with others magic he can cast spells almost instantly, they said he created a new barrier that has all these extra add ons to it including changing it's magical wavelength instantly so it can never be interrupted, absolutely incredible and to top it off it's not even a gem dragon trait it's something only he can do, my new empress is full of surprises,

I'm currently on my way to Daniels palace and once I get in the gate I get out of the car and go to his barrier, I touch it and instantly my dragon Alaroy purrs at the magic his empress has, he immediately wants to knot and breed him, make him round with his hatchlings, but I remind him he's already pregnant, "I can wait, I'll treat his hatchlings as if they are my own, the other little ones his brothers included I already see as my own." He replies, well it's good to know he views them as our kids already but we have important business to discuss, so I get in the car and drive up to the palace, I knocked on the door and one of his household members answer's, it was the new Asear clan leader Ryan, "Your majesty what can I do for you?" He asks shyly, I can tell they're more comfortable with me but they're still wary of me, I hope soon they will be more accepting of me.

"Good morning Ryan, I'm actually here to see the empress, I would like to speak to him." I say and he invites me in and leads me to the living room then goes to get the empress, a little bit later I see Daniel and he smiles at me and I get up to and frown, "What's wrong?" He frowns at me, "We need to talk about your magic my empress." I reply, and talk is right.
