CHAPTER 36 PALACE GUESTS

Alice POV:

I have been watching and caring for Daniels kids for the past week and they've been nothing but angels, Daniel comes to visit them daily, and brings them clothes and things, Darren and his brothers have tried to engage with the kids but they just get evil glares from me, Diana and Hailey, so they back off, we always ensure that the kids are fed and clean,

We let them spend the whole day with Daniel, and the cover story he gives them is that he wants them to spend more time with us since he views as close, once this week is up, and he gets them back, I know he'll have them under the most powerful protection spells known to magic history

We've been trying to help Daniel as best we can but it's no use, there are hundreds of curses in the world and we have no idea where to even begin with finding out which one,

"Argh this is impossible!! There are hundreds of different curses and imprisonment spells they could have used, and because they won't tell us which one they used we don't even know where to begin looking for a counter spell!" Diana said in frustration, just then Darren comes into the library and receives a very heated glare from all three of us, he shrinks back then sighs.

"Look I know you three aren't exactly happy with me, Chase and West, but we did what was necessary,

the kids are fed and clean and happy, once the eclipse hits and our father is free they'll be returned safe and sound, Daniel knows this and accepts this." Darren says, I scoff,

"He's only accepted it because he was given no choice in the matter, and you know as well as I the moment he has them back you will never be allowed near them again, and in all honesty I'm questioning letting you near our child myself." I told him, he looked hurt by that,

"You wouldn't.......?" He breathed, I gave him a hard stare, He looked really hurt and I kinda felt sorry for him, Darren sighed and said "Look this isn't something I want to do either, I told Chase and West to keep Daniel and his children out of this, they're the ones who told our father about them.

I never wanted to drag them into this but it's happened, and as much as I wish I could I can't erase what has happened, in five days when the eclipse comes and our father is free, he'll have the kid's back. Until then they'll be treated like princes and princesses during their stay here." I knew he would never let anything happen to the kids but I was still upset, "That may be fine for the kids but, it still doesn't work for me." I said, and then chase came in and said someone wanted to meet us, me, Tania, Talia, Hailey, and Diana.

We gave him a puzzled look but followed him anyway, we were lead to a room and he lead us all up an alter and towards a mirror, I was about to ask what this was about when suddenly a figure wrapped in darkness appeared through the mirror,

I instantly realized who this was, "Loden Stoneright." I trembled and the other empresses looked at him wide eyed and fearful, we all backed away out of sheer terror, we knew the story of this man, he was the Voldemort of our world, just his name alone struck fear in many.

"Greetings Young empresses, I understand you all are a bit upset with my son's, your husband's, but I greatly assure you that the children brought here was supposed to be an invitation to the young gem dragon, they were never to be used as a threat," He tried to sweet talk us but we weren't buying it for a second,

We knew the terrifying story of this man and the fact that Darren and his brothers are his sons made us extremely guarded, I could sense Talia and Tania preparing spells, they're not as powerful as Daniel but they're magic is nothing to scoff at.

He then looks behind me at Talia and Tania and wags his fingers, "Tsk,tsk,tsk, now now ladies, there is no need to resort to such power against me, I assure you that I mean no harm." He speaks smoothly,

Just then we sensed a presence behind us, we all looked and saw Darren, he was staring warningly at the second and third empresses, he was silently warning them not to try it or he'd be forced to act against them.

With fearful eyes they ended their spells, we all know what Darren is capable of, we didn't want to risk it, I could take Darren on but since I'm pregnant I couldn't.

"Now that we can talk I want to ensure that we understand each other. Even though our situation is not ideal it's necessary, and since we're all family I'm hoping we can get along, especially since all of my three sons wives are expecting," he said, "What?!" The three brothers shout, I looked at Talia and Tania, I knew about Hailey and Diana, but he said all of us, they made eye contact and immediately looked away blushing.

We agreed especially since we didn't have much of a choice, then he disappeared from the mirror, then once we got down chase and West immediately scooped up their wives, and did not look happy, they didn't know they were pregnant, they wanted to wait to tell them.

They immediately put their wives on bed rest, and Darren looked at Tania and Talia, he was beyond angry, he went towards them but I'd gotten between them, "Alice move." He said in a calm but angry tone,

I tried to calm him down but he was having none of it, he picked me up and moved me, then stood in front of them, Tania and Talia had their heads down in fear,

"You two are pregnant?" He asked, they nodded their heads yes, "And you were hiding it from me?" He asked, they tried to say something about wanting to wait to tell him but he was not listening.

"You two are hereby sentenced to house arrest, and bed rest until the children are born is this clear?" He growls the last part out, they nod their heads then he creates a portal and they leave to their castles.

After that I leave and help put the kids to bed, get them bathed and into clean pajamas, I texted Daniel what was going on, he congratulated Talia and Tania, then asked if I was ok, I told him I was fine just a bit shaken up, we said our goodbyes and I did my nighttime routine then drift off to sleep.
