Tyron pov: I was just a child, but I was still told the stories about my father's cousin, his parents were the emperor and first empress, they were a kind and loving family, but my father's cousin Loden was different, he was sinister and cruel.
My father was just a boy when it happened, his cousin Loden had killed his parents, in order to become king, apparently his father couldn't turn a blind eye to his evil deeds any longer.
His father was going to name my grandfather, my father's father as the new heir, and that didn't sit well with him, he went on a mass killing spree, he hunted down almost all members of the family and killed them.
My father and grandfather, along with a few remaining members of the royal family and went into hiding, my father trained for 30 years until the day Loden finally found them, after a fierce battle, with many innocent people losing their lives, Loden was finally dethroned, and my father who was the only survivor, was crowned king.
Loden was banished and for hundreds of thousands of years my father ruled peacefully, then he met my mother and fell in love, and she became queen, they ruled for a decade before he met the second empress, but my mother wasn't jealous, she accepted the second empress with open arms, and when my father decided to no longer rule, he gave up the throne, and for 4 centuries dragons fought for control of all dragons, but eventually decided that each clan would control their own people.
My father lived with his two wives, until the former second empress decided to leave my father, I had discovered after my father and mother's passing the second empress who had passed away a few years after my parents had given birth to a child, my older brother,
And when I heard about all the things my older brother put his son through I couldn't sit by and do nothing, I swore that I would protect him no matter what.
And honestly I thought I'd done a good job, but during that day, when Darren had released his power and aura, I could hardly breathe, I'd never felt anything like it before.
After that incident I started looking into Darren and his brothers, when I did my digging I discovered that, Loden who tried to assassinate the council, this was before I had officially started being with the council, he wanted to bring back the era of the dragon empire and become emperor again, but there wasn't a dragon alive who didn't know of him.
When the council of that time refused he attacked them, but they were able to subdue him and banished him to another dimension, he was far too dangerous to be let loose into the world, but unknown to anyone he had married a woman and had three sons, the youngest who was born after he was banished.
Their mother must have told them about their father, and his need to bring back the dragon empire, which explains many things, when they first appeared no one thought anything of it, then they started cozying up to five of the main clans, which is where the empresses and west and chase's wives are from, these clans gave their full support and soon others began following, so the council had no choice but to follow suit.
As I'm fighting these three I'm starting to figure things out, I'm panting heavily and these three are barely breaking a sweat, as I stand on shaky legs I chuckle.
"What's so funny?" Chase asks,
"You know, when I figured out who your father is, some things started to make sense to me. When the other ten main clans chose not to give you three their support, instead of trying to persuade them or prove your worth Darren enacted the death challenge, I see now that you didn't chose it for no reason, you wanted to make sure that you were seen as the most powerful and you wanted to crush any and all opposition to you, that's also why you chose to pair the omega clan leaders with your guards, even though you didn't know about the abuse you still wanted to keep them under your control,
The only reason you announced them as household members to Daniel was to secretly spy for you, I know you put a secret recording spell on them, it records everything they see and hear, without the victim even knowing.
