Elvis, Scotty, and some new band members sat on the stage. Bill, unfortunately, had passed away at the age of thirty-nine of a brain tumor, back in 1965.

"Well, I like a lot of the new groups, you know, the Beatles and the Byrds, but a lot of it is basically... Rock and Roll music is basically, uh... Gospel, Country, and Rhythm and Blues," he told the audience. "Well, that's one thing about this TV special that I'm doing, they're gonna let me do what I want to do. Sing the music that I want... Music that I love."

While they were setting up for the Gospel number, Elvis walked over to the Cimorelli family and gave them all a hug.

"Good to see you guys!" he said, truthfully, with a smile. 

"Good to see you, too, sweetie!" smiled Lynne.

"Congratulations on the wedding and the baby," said Katherine.

"Thank you, Kath," he said. "I tried to invite everyone to the wedding and to meet Lisa, but... you know..."
