Senna's pov
Song inspo the dark by scary kids scaring kiss
(THIS. THIS IS SENNA'S THEME SONG, the hold this song has on me is unreal. "Sometimes it hurts to tally up your scars" and then "you should be proud to tally up your scars" I CAN'T)

1 year after leaving 141

"Bourbon." I said as my fingers tapped the bar in front of me, ordering another drink.

"Senna, why can't you drink sake with the rest of us?" Hana whined beside me, already drunk no doubt.

We were coworkers, she'd call us friends but I didn't really call anyone that anymore. I'd come out because the rest of them insisted. I'd rather drink than deal with them complaining to me the next day.

Things felt a little normal. Going out with 'friends', working a 'regular' job. I'd fallen into a routine and I liked it that way. I didn't give myself time to think too much. Didn't give myself time to miss them.

"Because sake gives me a headache, bourbon doesn't." I lied, I refused to drink anything else because it tasted like Ghost. I gave myself these small memories. I drank tea more often than not, and slept on top of the covers. They were habits I was trying to kick but wasn't having much success at.

I could feel her watching me, and when I turned to look at her with a blank expression she whined again. Seriously, how was this the same person I watched take down a man three times her size.

"Sen, don't look now but there is a very attractive man watching you from the other side of the bar." Takeo said then from the other seat beside me. I didn't take his advice, instead my eyes followed his gaze to the other end of the bar. When my eyes found him I nearly spit out the sip of bourbon I had in my mouth.

I looked away, trying to catch my breath and settle my nerves. What was he doing here? Had Price told him where I was? I hadn't even talked to my old Captain in a few months.

"Oh, he's coming over." Takeo added then, wiggling his eyebrows at me. I wanted to rip them off his face with duck tape since he wanted to make such a stupid face at me.

"Senna." A nervous Scottish voice said from behind me. I froze gripping the glass in my hand so hard I was afraid it was going to break. If I turned took at him, I was going to break.

'C'mon Sen, you gonna introduce us to your friend?" Takeo pushed and I hated the nickname. Takeo wasn't the kind of man that took my hints though, he insisted on it.

I quickly downed the rest of my drink, waving at the bartender to get her attention.

"My tabs on them." I said, pointing a finger in Takeo's direction before sliding back off the barstool and grabbing my jacket.

"Let's go." I said quietly to Soap as I grabbed his arm, pulling him towards the door. I couldn't meet his gaze, not yet. Not when he caught me so off guard.

It was late fall so when we stepped outside I hurried to pull on the leather jacket.

"You cut your hair." He said from beside me and I instinctively reached up to touch the ends of my hair that just barely touched my shoulders. It was long enough to throw back into a short ponytail if I had to, but too short for the braid he knew me for.

"It's easier to manage." I answered as I started walking down the sidewalk.

We weren't in a great part of town, a lot of gangs lurked around the bars and clubs but the area had the best variety of liquor, which is why I liked it. Plus the neon lights were a good distraction when being forced to talk to someone I never thought I'd see again.

"What are you doing here?" I asked then as he fell instep beside me. I'd been here long enough that I could blend in, however the six foot two scot with a short mohawk beside me stuck out like a sore thumb. Although, in this part of town no one would really pay any attention to him.
