Senna's pov first then Ghost's pov
Song inspo Gilded Lily by Cults

We'd gotten split up at some point, I was separated from Soap and Ghost.  It wasn't too big of a deal, they'd opened a window for me to go through so I could get to the lab and do something about the gas. I'd practically strutted there as they covered me and finished clearing the lower floors.

However when I reached the lab I hadn't come up with a plan yet.

There were two large tanks hooked into machinery I didn't recognize and an even larger control panel with things in a language I couldn't understand.

The loud alarm though, that I understood well enough.

"I think we have a problem." I said over my comm, the alarm blaring with my voice.

"What the fuck is that?" Price asked back, they'd already gotten Al-Asad and had taken him prisoner. The plan was to kill him, but I think Farah wanted to get him talking first.

I didn't answer at first, my fingers tracing over keys and buttons as I tried to make sense of it all. I found a screen with a timer counting down.

"Cadaver?" Price came through again.

"Hold on, let me think." I snapped back, hardly being able to focus with the alarm deafening me.

I moved back to the tanks examining them knowing I was just a few inches away from something invisible yet so deadly it could probably kill me in seconds with just one breath of it. I followed the pipes and connections. The vents.

"It's a plan B." I finally said as the weight of it settled onto my shoulders. I think Asad knew he was cornered, and he would die fighting, take all of us with him, even his own men.

"You have to get everyone out, now!" I boomed as the panic set in, the urgency to figure out some way to stop it.

"Explain." Ghost this time, his voice was calm but I knew it was just to keep me calm.

"He's got it set up to leak into the vents, the entire building." I answered, leaning over the controls.

"Get out." Ghost ordered but I shook my head as if he could see me.

"I think I can stop it, but you need to get everyone out in case I cant." I told him hurriedly.

"Sen-" Ghost started but I cut him off.

"Price." I said, needing a little help here.

"Copy. Everyone evacuate. Cadaver, you stop it and if you can't you get out too." The Captains words were final and I shut off my comm so I could focus.

I looked at the keyboard then back to the screen, trying to remember the buts of the language I'd learned the last few times I was here.

Don't think, just do. I told myself, taking a breath as I began to type.

I hit enter but it gave me an error code. Fuck.

I tried again but another error message blared at me as the time continued to count down.

"Fuck." I breathed out loud this time. I didn't have enough time left, one more try maybe.

I tried again, typing in a command as I watched green letters appear across the screen. This time there was no error and the countdown stopped.

I let out the breath I'd been holding. I'd stopped it. Fuck, I'd done it. My hand was shaking and I balled it into a fist to settle my nerves.

There was movement at the doorway and as I turned I knew I hadn't been on my A game because it was too late. He shot his rifle at me, just one shot was enough.
