Chapter-6: Interrogation

P.O.V. Diana 'K-324'

After a few second of pure silence Himeko decided to speak.

"Like Adam said earlier we came to talk to you." I just nodded. Taking a quick glance at Theresa I see she is still staring at me a little wide eyed.

"S-so, is it alright to ask you some questions?" Theresa asked a little hesitant.

"Shoot." I simply answer, changing the way I spoke from earlier. (I trust them wholeheartedly but being too cooperative will make me more suspicious, I need to pretend this is the first time we meet and I don't know anything about them. Keep my guard up.)

"Who are you? Where are you from?" Theresa asked.

"Diana Winters and I live here." i respond again simply, not going deeper into details.

"She means before you got here, before you got adopted by Adam." clarified Himeko with a serious face. Who would guess that the first expressions I will see when I meet Himeko face to face will be either interrogative or serious. Nothing like the good and fun teacher I once seen on the screen.

"Why do you ask?" I asked back making a serious expression too, meanwhile Theresa had a more worried than serious expression at seems to become an aggressive argument.

"Because someone or something was chasing you and it might still search for you even now. And if it comes here, it might hurt innocent people. All we want to do is prevent that." I was about to ask her how did she knows that I was chased but responded before I could talk. "If you are wondering how I know that, is because the last time we met I asked Adam about you and he told me because we know each other from way back so we trust each other." I was baffled. What are the chances of being take in and adopted by someone close to Himeko of all people.

She started coming closer but after a few steps I took the gun that I still had on the back of my pants and pointed at her, making her stop.

"And how do I know the you two are not part of the people that are after me?" I say with a hint of desperation in my voice. I did that to become more believable and the fact that I was still a little surprised by the fact that Himeko knew Mr.Winters helped too.

"We don't even know who is after you, we just want to ask some questions so we could prevent something bad from happening. We don't want to hurt you." Theresa tried to reassure me but Himeko started to walk to me slowly.

"I said to not come closer!" I shouted at her but she didn't stop.

"If you are like the girl Adam told me you are, then you wouldn't shoot even if I started a fight right here, right now." Himeko said still walking towards me, meanwhile Theresa looked at her with a face like 'What are you doing?!'.

"I warned you!" I shout taking a step back and starting to press my trigger finger but Himeko didn't stop even for a second. When she was about 2 meters in front of me I pulled the trigger. Theresa summoned The oath of Judah and was about to trow a golden spear but..

The gun wasn't loaded. Himeko was now in front of me looking down to me with a smile on her face and Theresa let out a relaxed sigh.

"Like I said, you wouldn't shoot. So how about we sit down and have a little talk?" I couldn't help but feel small in front of Himeko, she believed in Mr.Winters worlds even if they could kill here and didn't hesitate to do it. I nodded and put the gun down on the table. We sat at the table and began to talk.
