Chapter-13: Lost Wind

P.O.V. 3rd pers.

A man under the name of Otto enters the room with a maid close behind him. Coming close the his chair, the maid remains behind him close to the door. Otto sits on his chair and looks at the screens in front of him. The screens showing mainly moments of your life in St.Freya and some other scenes of missions that take and took place.

"Now that you came back. What is your opinion of our subject?" Otto asks his maid. Rita just arrived from St.Freya not too long ago and submitted her report but was still called by Otto.

"Yes, Overseer-sama. Like in the report that I submitted, the subject 105-K423 has made major advancements in term of physical and comb-" she stopped when Otto raised his hand.

"I already read your report." Otto commented while filling a glass of wine. "What I am interested is what is your personal opinion of K324 and her relation with K423." finished and took a sip of wine.

"My personal opinion..." Rita took a moment to think before responding. "At a first glance she would seem to be just like any other girl around her age. Her personality seems completely identical with K423. But when we met, her guard was raised in an instant even if she tried to hide it. I offered to spar with her and K423, at which K423 accepted without a single thought but she refused under the excuse of being exhausted."

"Hmm. You had quiet the troublesome subject at hand." Otto said knowing well how cold you can be to strangers.

"She wasn't a nut too hard to crack." Rita then sent a file to Otto's computer and he open it. "She is indeed similar to K423 but her coldness to strangers isn't her only difference. She is a clever girl, analyzing her situation and opponent. In her Valkyrie Exam she used completely different strategies against her opponents." she paused for a moment before speaking again. "One thing that all her fights had in common was how reckless he was. Not that she didn't knew the risks but she seemed to take them anyway." she finishes.

"Kaslana's have their own way of fighting." K324's full physical details are shown on the screen. "The most intriguing is their inhuman strength. Even a clone that was kept in a capsule for her whole life is stronger than any normal humans and even than some of our valkyries." he says looking at the details. "You're free to go." and with that Rita takes her leave.

P.O.V. Diana

The Valkyrie Exam finished successful after the "incident". We were given some free days, in which I spent them with the girls either just playing games inside or going around the city. I savoured every moment of the running peace that we still have left.

Today I found myself in the New Zealand. Today was the day we go after the Gem of Desire a.k.a Wendy. Getting out of the aircraft we got a call from Himeko explaining the situation. 1 day ago there was a Honkai spike, meaning a hell lot of Honkai beast and zombies. We made our way through them and got close to where the sensor lead us. Once close enough Bronya Bio-sensors show vital readings meaning we are close to Wendy.

We start picking up speed on clearing Honkai bests and zombies, making a sort of temporary safe zone. Getting a call from Himeko, Mei is getting confused on how we got the target located but Himeko confirms that she was indeed our target and explains to us how she got in this state. The person who could one day become the 4th S-rank ended up in a weelchair. Loosing the feeling in her legs and became a medium to contain the Honkai Gem. Hearing this after so long and having the person in question right in front of me, not only did it make me angry at the selfishness of the people who did this and disappointed in myself that I can't save her.
