P.O.V. Diana
It's been a month and a half since Otto started training me personally. His lessons at first were normal I suppose, but after a month his training began to feel weird. Instead of training my technique as he said, he started telling me to focus on manipulating the Honkai energy within myself. I was confused at first at what he meant, but once I got the filling right, it became a piece of cake.
In the game, we have physical and elemental DMG dealers and supports. When I woke up in this world, I thought that those were just game mechanics or battlesuit only. But it seems that as long as someone has the ability to manipulate Honkai energy, they can do things like throwing a giant lance from the sky. *cough* Dudu *cough*
Still, the battlesuit is needed for boosting the Honkai energy in ones body, protection and used as a catalyst. The battlesuit usually converts the Honkai energy and channel it as what we know as Skills. As for me, Otto said that I am not binded by the need of a battlesuit. As long as I train in mastering the Honkai energy inside my own body, I can ascend to the title of S-rank Valkyrie or even higher. But the last part he only said it under his breath.
For some reason, Otto needed me to grow strong. I didn't know why and neither did I had a chance to find out. My growth was fast. Fast enough to catch up with more veteran Valkyries when it came to skills, but I was lacking in experience. Otto saw that and granted me the rank of A-rank Valkyrie, so that he could send me into missions to gain experience.
Otto sent me in a containing mission. In a small city of the West Europe a Honkai outbreak happened. There were sent two assault teams, one rescue team and the Raging Storm. As for me, I was sent as a trainee.
Nala and Evelyn were pretty happy that I was sent with them. I was glad too since I knew the majority of the Raging storm. I was ready to be in an awkward atmosphere, but I was happy to be with someone I knew.
The mission went smoothly and I was able to learn more about Large-Scale missions. When fighting against a large number of enemies, I needed to be aware of my surrounding. To be able to respond correctly in case if an enemy is going to hit me from behind or I get in the way of my allies. Supporting each other was another lesson I learned. It was a terrifying yet useful experience overall. And with all that out of the way, we got to today.
In my room, I was sleeping peacefully. I was having another beautiful and pleasant dream, but once I realized it was a dream, I woke up right away. Lying in my bed, I stared at my ceiling and tried to remember what was that dream about. I started to feel empty.
I got up from my bed and started my morning routine and warm up. It was earlier than normal, but I didn't care. All I cloud think about were those strange yet happy dreams that I could not remember. I went jogging towards the park. The sun could be hardly seen and the small gusts of wind were cold.
The dreams started two or three weeks ago, but I couldn't remember. At first I thought that they were just dreams and nothing more. But I had a strange feeling that they were connected in a way, even if I couldn't recall them. I felt my patience starting running low. I needed to find at least something true about 'Diana' and I couldn't trust anyone from Schicksal.
Arriving and continuing my jogging in the park, I was too focused on my thoughts to realize someone else was here as well. I just kept mindlessly jogging until I felt the need to drink some water. I went to the nearest bench and sat down. I took my bottle of water and started to drink.
"I didn't expect to see someone else here so early." someone beside me spoke. I was so surprised that I choked on the water I was drinking. "Oh! I am sorry. I didn't mean to surprise you." she said while petting my back.
