A few days passed since the fever started. Because of the fever, I had to stay in bed and I could only endure the pain since the doctors that were sent to treat me couldn't find the cause. In truth, I didn't trust them.

While I was sick, my friends took turns to visit and take care of me. One day, they even came together and kept me company since I was living alone. If it wasn't for the pain and heat, I could say I had a good time.

At night I still had fever dreams at times. They were all quite the ride... But none of them were as confusing as the first one. Since my head hurt and the heat was unbearable, I didn't have the time to think about it. I could only save it in the back of my head for later and pray that I won't forget it. The emptiness hit harder that any forgotten dream I had until now.

*knock knock*

"It's open..." I responded to the knock.

"Good morning. How are you feeling?" Evelyn asked as she entered my bedroom.

"Better. The fever went down a little and my body doesn't hurt as much." I answered as she walked to my bedside table to put a tray with food on it.

"Don't push yourself. You're still far from being healthy." she said as she gave me a cup of water. "I am worried since the doctors still didn't find why you have this fever." she said in a sad voice.

"Don't worry. It's going to be alright. I'm getting better as we speak." I tried to reassure her. When the fever started, everyone reassured me and tried to make me feel better. But as days passed, they started to get worried. Even if some tried to hide that from me. (Just what is happening to me?)

*ding dong*

"Seems that someone else decided to visit too. I'll get the door. Can you eat by yourself?" Evelyn asked.

"Sure I can." I said energetically. 'Well... as energetic as a sick person can.'

She wasn't too convinced, but since someone was waiting at the door, she didn't though too much about it and gave my the tray with a bowl of porridge on it. She left the room and I begun to eat. The porridge was soft, warm and tasty. The food Evelyn makes is always good, but sometimes I have a nostalgic feeling when I eat it.

Not having the mood to think too deep about it and just enjoy my breakfast. In just a few minutes I emptied the bowl and I started waiting for Evelyn to ask for seconds. But my wait was cut short when the door opened and Evelyn entered the room. I was about to ask for seconds, but stopped when I saw a certain S-rank Goose behind her.

"Good morning, Anastasia. How are you feeling?" Bianka asked me with a smile on her face.

"Morning, Durandal. Still having a fever, but I feel better than before. Thank you for asking." I said while I took a small glance at Evelyn who was besides Bianka.

"I'm glad to hear that you are feeling better. I brought you a basket of fruits and some books I recommended you before to pass the time." Bianka said while placing the basket on the table together with the books. "I hope you'll get better soon. I didn't expect that you'll have a fever right after the World Serpent invaded the base. Luckily you came back before the fever started."

"Yeah... Lucky." I said while trailing off. Then I looked at the empty bowl. "Evelyn, can I have a second bowl please." I said while stretching the tray with a sad look.

"No need for the sad look. I'll bring you another bowl with porridge shortly. In the meanwhile, you can continue your chat." Evelyn said softly while taking the tray and leaving the room.

"You have a good friend." Bianka said while looking at the door.

"I know." I said with a soft smile.
