Chapter-19: The Vermilion Knight and The End Towards a New Beginning

I get up from where I was sitting and looked outside the cell. 'Containment Bay 9' was written on the wall. (I can't wait here. I need to get out fast.) I was about to cut the door open, but I realized that I didn't have any weapons on me. *Tsk* Seeing that I had no option, I started forcing the door open. The door opened without resistance.

Outside the cell were patrol drones roaming around. I sneaked pass them as not to be noticed. I exited the Containment Bay and made my way to a tower a tower where I think I remember being where Himeko got her 'Vermilion Knight: Eclipse' Battlesuit. The way there was guarded, but it was just a small headache to deal with.

Dealing with them hand to weapons was not easy, but it was manageable. At some point I meet with Himeko, who was using the green basic Greatsword that everyone gets with every Battlesuit they unlock in-game. She seemed surprised to see me out but didn't question it. (I am not that big of a troublemaker. Right?)

Slowly dealing with the lasts guards, we arrived at the tower. We took a few seconds to take a deep breath before going up.

"We are going up. Hope we find someone here." Himeko said while going up with her sword on her back.

"Got it! But are you sure we are in the right place?" I look around but no one's here. "Hey! Is anyone here?" I shout and we start hearing something.

"Hnnggh..." we started picking up the pace.

"...That voice?" Himeko mumbled.

"Hnngh hnngh hng hngh hnngggh!" the closer we got the louder it became. "Hnngh hnghhngh hgnhhgnh!" after getting close enough, we see an angry Tesla tied to a chair and a black scarf blocking her from speaking.

"Tesla?" at the sight, Himeko tried not to laugh while I let out a chuckle. "Calm down. I'll ungag you." Himeko approached her while I just tried to stop myself from smiling.

"That evil maid! I don't want to see her ever again!" once Tesla saw herself free from the scarf, she started yelling, making me cover my ears.

"What did she do to you?" Himako asked with more curiosity than worry.

"...She gave me a world of humiliation." Tesla hesitated but angrily said.

"...Oh dear." Himeko let out loud.

"She kept apologising while tying me up!" Tesla started ranting.

I'll spare you from the rest. Now Himeko started untying her and started telling her what happened before this.

"...That's all I know." Himeko finished.

"Now I'm really worried about mophead..." Tesla said in a low voice. "...We're not in great shape either." she started thinking of something. "I guess we can only head to that lab that somebody mentioned. We need to find a way to contact the Hyperion." she decided. We tried to use the elevator but...

[Beep]

[Error code 110327. Target not found. Access denied.]

"This elevator looks broken." Himeko said and Tesla took that as a challenge.

"It's just an elevator. I'll let you call me retarded if I can't fix this." Tesla said proudly. "Let's backtrack a bit. I need a terminal connected to the mainframe." she put a hand to her chin but then she glanced at us. "Two questions." she pointed towards Himeko. "What's up with that second-rate sword?" then she pointed at me. "And why are you empty handed?"
