CHAPTER 4: Fight

SAMANTHA VYRONICA POV

“Hello? Ngayon ko lang napansin, eh. Is there something wrong?”

She chuckled. “Wala, umalis ka kasi. Even Art is not here so I just wanna check on you.”

“Oh?

“That man is unpredictable. Hindi ko makausao kanina. Hindi oa nga nabalik, eh. By the way, I’ll see you later. Ingat.”

“Yeah, See you later, ingat. Balitaan mo ‘ko if you find it interesting.” I was talking about the new information I just found out on the case I was handling.

She hum. “Yeah, I will. Eat your lunch, and take a rest. Ako na bahala magcheck.”

“Okay, thank you!

I hang up the call at tsaka binaba na ang cellphone.

He’s giving me a suspicious look when in fact I was talking about work. At siya may pangiti-ngiti pang nalalamang habang nagta-type. Hindi ko nga pinakialamanan.

“Who are you talking to?” he asked, his cold voice makes it awkward to even speak.

I licked my lips and smirked when I realized something. I even smile as I tell him her name.

“Denver? Who’s that person?” salubong ang kilay nito at para bang nag-iintay pa sa akin ng sagot.

I shrugged. “My colleague.” I answered.

“Hello, here’s your food.”

But I know he’ll be asking some question later on. “Here’s your chow mein, maam.” Inabot sa akin ito ng waiter.

“You know it’s mine?” I didn't know someone would even remember me.

He nodded. “You’re always here, kaya namukhaan na kita. I remembered you were talking to our boss, Mr. Au.”

I chuckled. “Oh? I remember, ikaw nga pala ang nagserve nun.”

“Are you here for business madam?” he asked as he look at Dashell na nakataas na ngayon ang kilay sa kanya. His arms were crossed and. His eyes were narrowed and looked so scary.

“Ah, no—” I glanced at Dashell who was gesturing at me to tell it to the waiter. “Mr. Au told me that he was courting you, so it isn’t true?”

I shook my head and laughed nervously. “Well, it’s true. But I’m not in some business today, this is my fiancé. Dashell Nikolauv Ciervo”

His eyes were staring at him, disappointed.

“He just brought a woman, yesterday here. Ms, Valdirama. Anak ng Vice President, They were even kissing here.

He brings another woman here?
After what the waiter told me. I felt awkward having a lunch with knowing that the people around here might know him since it's yesterday.
