DASHELL NIKOLAUV CIERVO POV
“Are we here?!” gulat na tanong ni Samantha ng makarating na kami sa venue nang hindi niya namamalayan.
I nodded. “Yes, why?” I said and asked.
We are now attending an event, hindi ko nga lang alam kung para saan. Basta event. I even heard, my friends are here too. Kaya nang tinanong ko sila, hindi rin nila alam.
I asked my wife who told me about this event, hindi niya rin alam.
Binuksan ko na ang pintuan ng kotse at tsaka inalalayan siya na makababa. Well, she's 5 months pregnant now. Malaki na rin ang tiyan niya. And i must say, i'm proud of my work.
She was pouting her lips the whole time. I just shook my head. Ano naman kayang event 'to?
She looks calm though. Lagi naman kasi. Napatingin naman ako sa kanya bago bumaba ang mga mata sa aming kamay. She was holding my hand so tight as we entered the huge door.
I was speechless when I saw the event they were saying. A fucking inauguration? For whom?
“Let us all welcome, SVF now renamed as SVC group of companies, newest chairman and CEO! Mr. Dashell Nikolauv Ciervo together with Vice-Chairman, former chairman and CEO, his lovely wife, Mrs. Samantha Vyronica Ferrer-Ciervo”
It was at this moment, my heart skipped its beat. It was for me?
My wife, giggled and pulled me towards the carpet. Everyone was standing while clapping their hands. Habang ako ay pilit na prinoproseso ang nangyayari. Hindi ko alam kung ano ang irereact.
“What do you think? Too romantic right?”
“Baby, this—” I looked at her, she shut me up and pulled me towards the stage.
“Mamaya na” she mumbled.
When I got up to the stage, my wife was there. Behind me. My hand was shaking. Nanlalamig ako sa kaba. I never thought I could be like this.
“So before we start, of course! The signing of papers, first. That hereby declare the position of Chairman and CEO to be passed under Mr. Dashell Nikolauv Ciervo. Under this contract, 45% of the share is now under the newly positioned Chairman and CEO and now the Major Shareholder of the SVC group of companies. After the signing of papers between Mrs Samantha Ciervo and Mr. Dashell Nikolauv Ciervo is the oathtaking ceremony.”
The MC handed me the paper and a ballpen. Napirmahan na ito ni Samantha. I was hesitant at first when she came and cleared her throat.
After these are the oath taking. Hindi ko na tuloy alam ang gagawin ko. I feel lost.
Bumalik lang ako sa aking katinuan ng magsalita na ang asawa ko.
“Hi, I'm Samantha Ferrer-Ciervo. Before everything ends here for me. I just want to say, that this company is not just a company, it's my life, it reflects my efforts, my dedication, my hardwork, and all the challenges, i faced for the last 8 years. 2 years of building this at a very young age was hard for me. But i never give up, and you might all think, why am i passing this company to my husband? The truth is, for the last 4 months of my pregnancy. I was having a hard time following my busy schedules. I am busy, my job is overloaded. And it's not just that, I trust him more than anything in this world. Ayoko pabayaan ang kompanya ko, and the last thing i could possibly do is to passed it to him.”
“And under his supervision, i know this company will stay on top just like how it is from the very beginning. So thank you everyone, for coming here today. So i have here—” she glance at me who was just standing behind her.
