Danger Force Learns About The Lego Movie

Ray:"So you have a movie for us to watch?"

Me:(Holding The Lego Movie DVD)"Yes sir I do. It's called:(I show them the title on the DVD)The Lego Movie."

Cindy:"So what happens in the movie?"

Me:"Well we're going to follow Emmet(I point to Emmet on the DVD)our main Lego character. There's a prophecy that says that Emmet is The Special, kinda like a Chosen One."

Schwoz:"Sounds kinda like the plot of The Matrix."

Me:"Oh no this is nothing like The Matrix."

Ray:"It's not?"

Me:"No it's just about a plain loner guy that meets an edgy badass looking girl and then she tells him about a prophecy of a Chosen One and he finds out that his world isn't what he thought it was and his whole perception of reality is shattered and then there's this wise trainer guy that's super into the Chosen One prophecy and they go inside the main guy's head for training there's also a ruthless law enforcement type with sunglasses that's after them there's sentinels that attack everyone and the main guy is gonna seemingly die but then come back to life with the ability to see reality in a whole new way and basically has superpowers now."

Schwoz:"That sounds a lot like the plot of The Matrix."

Cindy:"Yeah."

Me:"No see Batman is in this."

While Miles and Bose say 'Sweet!' Ray speaks.

Ray:"Oh Batman is in this! Okay Batman's not in The Matrix."

(Author's Note:Cindy, Ray and Schwoz have watched 'The Matrix'.)

Me:"Right."

Mika:"So what else happens in the movie?"

Me:"Well Emmet's gonna stumble upon this thing called The Piece Of Resistance and that's gonna give him like a magical vision."

Miles:"Oh very cool."

Me:"But then later we're gonna find out that the prophecy was made up by this Lego character Vitruvius."

Chapa:"So how did the piece give him a vision?"

Me:"I don't know."

Bose:"Fair enough."

Me:"Yeah the thing is at the end of the movie we're gonna find out that the whole thing was kinda playing out in the imagination of a child."

Alanna:"Oh! So things don't actually have to make sense!"

Me:"Exactly. A little screen writing gift that the directors gave to themselves."

Bose:"Very smart."

Me:"Yeah so basically the whole movie the main Lego characters is gonna jump from crazy place to crazy place and meet a whole bunch of other Lego products."

Miles:"So is there anything else we should know about the movie?"

Me:"Not really. Everything's gonna move so fast and have so many joke attempts that you guys won't be able to focus on anything."

Chapa:"Oh it's like ADD the movie!"

Me:"Yeah it's gonna be like flipping through a Lego catalog while an action movie plays in the backround and someone shines a strobe light in your eyes."

Bose:"I love it!"

Me:"And then you get to the end of the catalog and Will Ferrel walks in and you're like 'I guess this was nice.'"
