Insecure

Hey guys! Here's a The Lego Movie oneshot where Wyldstyle/Lucy is being insecure and crying and her boyfriend Emmet comforts her. Just an Emmetstyle oneshot. It takes place after The Lego Movie 2:The Second Part. Also they're humans in this.

It was another beautiful, sunny day is Syspocalypstar. The sun is shining, the birds are singing. Everyone is happy. Well...almost everyone.

Unikitty is at dance practice...practicing...her...dancing, Emmet is at his construction job working, and Lucy is at Emmet's dream house. Lucy took a nap on the couch. Than she had a nightmare. She woke up gasping and panting. She decided to go out and get some fresh air. She went out back and sat on the double decker porch swing. Her nightmare was about her past back when she was a singer and dancer and had her real clothes, hair, and name. She was so happy...until people started being mean to her and called her 'Immature'.

'Your name is Lucy?! What kind of lame-o name is that?! That sounds like the name of a bank teller or a preschool teacher!'

'You're so immature to have that color hair! It looks like a unicorn pooped on your head!'

'You look like you fell out of a unicorn's butt!'

'You're so immature to sing that terrible, annoying, manufacturing pop song 'Everything Is Awesome!' Why don't you rename it 'Everything Stinks'?!'

'You're so immature!'

'You're ugly!'

'You're weak!'

'You're pathetic!'

'No one likes you!'

Lucy broke down crying at the flashbacks. From that day on, she stopped dancing and singing, singing 'Everything Is Awesome', liking 'Everything Is Awesome', developed a new badass attitude, changed her name, hair and clothes and started dating Batman. She eventually became a master builder and one day heard of the prophecy and was determined to find the Piece of Resistance so she would be special and cool. But than she met Emmet and Emmet found it first and she was so mean and rude to him because she wanted to be the special but then she started becoming nicer to him, liking him, and then...

Falling in love with him.

Now they're boyfriend and girlfriend. But Wyldstyle still gets upset about her insecurities sometimes. She continued to cry on the double decker porch swing until she heard a comforting and soothing voice.

'Lucy?'

It was Emmet. It was night time so he was back. Lucy quickly wiped her tears and looked up to see the construction worker wearing his hard hat and a concerned look on his face. Lucy tried to pretend she hadn't been crying and tried to change the subject.

Lucy:"Emmet! You're back! I must not have heard the car pull up."

Emmet ignored what Lucy said and said in a concerned voice

'Have you been crying?'

Lucy:"N-no! No!"

Emmet takes off his hard hat, sits down next to Lucy on the double decker porch swing, gently takes her hands and looks into her eyes.

Emmet:"There's no shame in crying, Lucy. It's as natural as laughing. Your feelings are your truth. You should never be ashamed of them."

Lucy:"I haven't been crying!"

Emmet:"Lucy, what's wrong?"

Lucy:(High-pitched voice)"Nothing!"

Emmet:"High pitched 'Nothing!' always means something. Now will you please tell me what's going on? I'm worried. I care about you a lot, Luce."

Lucy takes a deep breath.

Lucy:"Okay. I'll tell you. But only if you promise to keep it a secret."

Emmet:"Cross my heart."

Emmet crosses his heart with his fingers.

Lucy takes a deep breath.

Lucy:"Okay...here it goes...I had a nightmare..."

Emmet:"About?"

Lucy:"About my past when I was a singer. Everyone was mean to me so that's why I changed and so insecure all the time. Sometimes I cry over them."

Emmet:"Well, why didn't you tell me?"

Lucy:"I didn't want to worry you. I also didn't want you to mock me and leave me for some one else and-and-and--"

As Lucy said those last few words she started to cry again. As she was crying Emmet tried to comfort her.

Emmet:"Hey! Hey hey hey hey hey!"

Emmet takes his thumb and gently wipes a tear away.

Emmet:"You don't have to worry about worrying me. I also would never EVER mock you or leave you for someone else."

Lucy lets a little cry. 

Emmet sighs.

Long silence

Emmet breaks it

Emmet:"Lucy remember when we first met at the construction site?"

Lucy:"Y-yeah. W-why are you bringing this up just now?"

Emmet:"To tell you that's when I immediately fell head over heels in love with you at first sight. I couldn't speak. I'd forgotten how! I was frozen on the spot by your beauty. I was speechless. I couldn't stop staring at you. You were so beautiful! And you still are. You're pretty much the most awesome girl I've ever met! You're special to me. You ARE my special! And my world. And my home. I'd do anything for you because I love you. I'd kill for you. I'd die for you. I can't live without you. I can't imagine life without you."

Lucy was smiling at this point.

Lucy:"Oh Emmet...Emmet!"

Lucy threw her arms around Emmet's neck and kissed him. Emmet was surprised but then he relaxed, closed his eyes, kissed back and smiled through the kiss. Emmet wrapped his arms around Lucy's waist. Lucy moved her fingers to Emmet's hair and ran her fingers through it. Emmet and Lucy hummed and moaned through the kiss.

Emmet And Lucy:"Mmmmmm..."

Emmet and Lucy put their tongues into each other's mouth and explored each other's mouths. Eventually they ran out of breath. They slowly pulled apart, looked into each other's dazed and lovestruck eyes and softly smiled.

Lucy:"Thank you for your kind words."

Emmet smiled.

Emmet:"You're welcome."

Emmet and Lucy kissed again.
