So What Exactly Are We Teaching Our Boys? Response

Hey everybody! A few months ago, you know what? I can't actually fricken remember when I read this but I did! It's a The Lego Movie article called 'So What Exactly Are We Teaching Our Boys?' by jovetheatre.org. They said that they loved The Lego Movie and watched it twice at the theater and was howling with laughter and enjoyed it...up until the last few minutes. It's like for them 'And for that one moment...everything was perfect...And then that moment ended.' They said that Wyldstyle betrays and dumps Batman and immediately holds Emmet's hand because he's the 'Hero' and Wyldstyle is the trophy and the prize for winning. Uh no! No no! Nope! Nope no no nope no no nope dy nope nope dy nope! That's NOT when happened! Batman said 'He's the hero you deserve' Jovethearte:"Did he? I don't remember?" Me:"Oh I am going to slap you right into a flashback!" Jovethearte:"Ah!" I slap Jovethearte right into a flashback.

Flashback

Wyldstyle:"Batman...There's something I need to say to you..."

Batman:"No Wyldstyle, I mean...Lucy...He's the hero you deserve."

Wyldstyle:"Thanks Batman."

End of flashback

Jovethearte:"Yes now that you slapped me I remember!"

Me:"And another thing!"

Jovethearte rolls their eyes and groans.

I clear my throat.

Ahem! Wyldstyle chose Emmet, yes, but NOT because he's the hero! Not because he's The Special! Not because he saved the world! No no no no! Wyldstyle chose Emmet, because he cares and appreciates Wyldstyle more than Batman does! 

Jovetherete argues against that.

Me:(My eyes closed showing The Lego Movie The Essential Guide book Emmet Vs Batman Love Match page 44-45 to them)"Ah! Dude, on this page it says: Batman: Romance: 3. He's a little too self-centered to be a great boyfriend. But for Emmet it says: Romance: 9. Emmet would do anything for the one he loves. It also says on Emmet's other thing Real Romance.(I close the book and put it under my arm as I continue)True love is putting someone else's needs before yours, which is what Emmet did in the movie!"

Jovetherete:"How do you know so much about love?"

Me:"I watch a lot of Disney, so I'm basically a Love Expert."

And furthermore!

Jovetherete:(Groans)"There's furthermore."

Lego minifigures can kiss! They were going to have the scuba cops make out with some mermaids and have Wyldstyle kiss Batman but they cut those parts out! And they can put romance in this! There's not going to be just kids watching that movie! There's gonna be teens and adults! And 5 year old Anna from Frozen loves romance. I know you said plastic minifigure romance would give some adults to need some therapy but I'm fine with that! And sure there's a lot of male characters but girls can also love The Lego Movie! I LOVE The Lego Movie! And I'm a 17 year old lady! You said Wyldstyle and Emmet would be better off as friends, I say NOPE! They make such a cute couple! And there's nothing you people can do or say to change my mind! YA HEAR THAT! YEAH!...I think that's all I have to say. Welp! Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
