Chapter 15 : Moment Of Truth
I sat there nervously waiting for Deion to come back downstairs and suddenly started thinking deeply.
I couldn't do this.
This was a horrible idea.
I needed to leave and I meant like NOW!
I quickly stood up and sprinted towards the front door like I was running away from a masked killer in some sort of horror movie.
When I got to the door I quickly threw it open and ran like hell out of his house.
I knew he would be confused and possibly hurt, but this was all just too much too soon.
After running out of the gate I pulled out my phone, opened my GPS and followed the walking instructions so that I could reach the main road which was about 15 minutes away.
Maybe I could've asked Deion for a ride home. I knew he would've taken me, but I would've had to see the sadness in his eyes which I wasn't trying to face.
I continued walking as quickly as I could, with the fall winds brushing against my face.
It was a surprise to me that I was thinking somewhat clearly, especially given the amount of alcohol in my system.
Of course my judgment was clouded a bit because I mean Deion was a sexy man with a beautiful home and only god knows what he was about to do to me back there.
Mmmmm.
I just knew the timing wasn't right, at all.
I shook the dirty thoughts off my head and realized I'd made it to the main road.
I dialed Skye's phone number and placed it on speaker so that I could hear beyond the loud traffic rustling by.
Two rings later she picked up.
Thank god.
"Omg, I need you."
"What happened bestfriend?," she asked in a concerned tone.
"Girl so much so much. I just need you to come pick me up."
"Send me the location and I'll be there."
I pinned my address in a text and sent it to her right after I disconnected the call.
I knew I was going to have a lot of explaining to do, but this was my bestfriend.
If anything she was the safest person for me to vent to.
Times like this I wished that my mother was more present in my life, but due to our traumatic history I couldn't confide in her at all.
That's just the way the cookie crumbled.
About 20 minutes later she zoomed up next to me popping her passenger door open.
"Get in hurry girl!," she yelled out.
I giggled and quickly crawled into the car.
