It was around 7am on a Wednesday morning and the song beautiful lies by Yung Bleu and Kehlani blasted out loud over my car speakers as I drove to work.
I had been working from home for the last couple of weeks due to extensive morning sickness and of course Deion allowed it but I was ready to get back to my desk.
We had discussed how I would go about my pregnancy in terms of announcing it and everything but ultimately we agreed I'd keep it a secret for as long as possible.
Less stress for me and for us as a whole.
I wasn't too close with anyone at work other than Izzy and Deion so I was just hoping she wouldn't catch on.
She knew about Deion and had managed to keep our relationship private like I asked but being pregnant with his child was a whole other ballgame.
I still wasn't fully prepared to come to terms with the fact that I was pregnant, by my boss, who was also my boyfriend.
It sounded like something out of a wattpad novel, literally.
Thinking negatively never did anyone any good so I told myself when I realized I was too deep in my thoughts I'd just blast some music and keep it moving, hence why I was blasting some Yung Bleu and Kehlani right now.
I stopped by a local McDonald's and got my usual breakfast.
Since becoming pregnant I couldn't eat just anything but for some odd reason McDonald's I was able to hold down just fine.
I always ordered an Egg McMuffin, hash browns and a hazelnut iced coffee.
Deion was never pleased to see me drinking coffee of any kind but he knew I only had one cup a day and it was a major craving of mine.
After grabbing my usual order from McDonald's I quickly got to work and parked into my space.
When I got off the elevator on my work floor I was greeted by Izzy and an intern she was training named Noah.
He was a lighter, yellow-complexioned gentleman with ginger hair and emerald green eyes.
From the looks of how he was staring at Izzy I figured it might be something brewing between them or if not yet would be soon.
"Stranger danger I feel like I'm seeing ghosts," Izzy joked, throwing her arms pulling me into a tight hug.
"You're always seeing something girl! My goodness I missed you," I replied.
