Chapter 47 : Shock Part 2

"Naomi? Baby? Please say something baby."

I could feel Deion's hands shaking my shoulders, but it was like I couldn't move or say anything back.

The sun beamed down harder than ever. I started to feel a massive wave of nausea coming over me, my throat dry and achy suddenly. I was still standing, but my legs felt extremely weak.

"Look me and her need to get to a hospital immediately, she's due with twins very soon."

The officers started responding to Deion but I couldn't make out what they were saying.

I kept trying to blink my eyes to stay alert, but they were getting heavier by the second.

Was I going to pass out?

The fear of collapsing while this far along was terrifying.

I'd heard way too many horror stories about pregnant women having medical problems around the time of delivery and it could end bad for the mom and baby, in my case babies.

My whole body felt like it had been frozen in place. I forced my hand to leave my side and cover the top of my stomach, I gently rubbed it as I took deep breaths.

I could feel the girls moving around kicking, this gave me a sense of relief instantly.

Deion grabbed my hand and started to walk with me towards the exit, "Come on baby let's go. I know it's probably difficult but I need you to stay with me let's go we're gonna go to the hospital."

His grip was firm, but yet I could still sense the nervousness on him.

My lips quivered in fear.

A couple of the officers got in front of us as a couple others followed closely behind, it felt like we were being escorted by a security detail.

One of the officers in the front spoke into his walkie talkie, "We're escorting Mr. Rivers and his pregnant wife off the premises, I repeat we are escorting them off the premises. The wife needs medical treatment."

I wanted to ask so many questions. I wanted to know who this woman was. Was it Yvonne?

The thought of someone threatening to shoot the father of my children and the love of my life had my whole heart shattering by the minute, I was in utter shock.

We continued walking to the exit, noticing as other guests started to clear out of the event.

Luckily nobody was panicking, the officers were trying to keep everything contained. This was an event Deion had worked so hard for, it was so upsetting to be having to deal with this right now.

Finally reaching the gate one of the officers directed us into his truck, he insisted on escorting us to the hospital since it was only a few minutes away. Deion agreed with it, as much as I knew he didn't want to.

This was taking a toll on him, he was pissed but holding it together for me.

Carefully stepping up into the truck I held onto my stomach, Deion followed after me and shut the door behind us.
